Clara had slipped the silky fabric on and was now looking into the mirror as she braided her hair.
"Let it goooo let it goooo! Can't hold it back anymore!" She was quietly (or should I say loudly) humming the tune of a new movie that had just came out in her world. Though, it may have already been a year or so since it came out.
"What the hell are you singing?" Julius entered the teen's room with an irritated look on his face.
"A song." Clara answered cryptically. Julius gave up afterwards, heading to his room to prepare for the ball. She simply chuckled as she watched the grouchy clockmaker leave the scene. Letting only Clara stare in beauty at her dress. she was just thinking how much cooler it would be if the ends of the fiery dress were to catch into flames, only singeing he ends as if it were on fire.
Before Clara knew, the time period was changing from dawn to night as the moon was full and round as it sat in the sky above the mysterious country.
'Poor Clara,' it taunted her as she walked happily along the dirt road once more. 'Stuck in such a muck, this world is not hers to mourn about, yet she tries as she runs and sings aloud!'
Clara simply put the moon aside as she pulled Julius through the dense forest. Finally, they come to the castle. Small, dim lights are hanged from any available spot, but they kept moving and so Clara looked closer. They were fireflies; dancing and playing around the huge architecture as they flashed their dim, green lights. The ridiculously large doors opened for her and the clockmaker once they were in range.
"Welcome, Clara, Julius." Vivaldi greeted them with the upmost respect. She expected only Clara to be coming, not the anti-social Clockmaker as well. Julius simply nodded his head before walking off to only God knows where.
"Thank you so much for inviting me!" Clara chirped cheerfully, taking the moment to hug the queen not only as friends, but as sisters. Vivaldi felt something stir inside her. Boris once told her he had felt this before. Hatter, and the twins as well.
It was the beating of a heart. Not a clock.
"Yes, well, enjoy yourself! This is a party after all!" Vivaldi gave the girl a sincere smile. Not one second passed before she felt a light tap on her shoulder. She turned to come in contact with a shy Peter White. She was about to cast him aside, but he took her by the shoulders softly.
"M-May I have this dance..?" He asked shyly. Clara noticed this change in personality. Before, he was creepy, like a stalker, and now he had been avoiding her for sometime. Clara smiled sweetly, taking his hand in her own.
"I'd love to." She replied.
~~~~~~~~
Clara danced the night away. Thanks to Julius, she plugged her iPhone into the crude speakers to maximize the music.
"What are you doing..?" Boris and the Bloody twins stared at the technology as if it were alien.
"I'm gonna show you some real music." Clara stated, dismissing the large orchestra and turning up the volume.
If a fish swam out of the ocean, and grew legs and started walking.
And the apes climbed down from the trees, and grew tall and started talking.
Boris and the twins began dancing by themselves, creating new moves as they danced with the beat. Clara saw in awe the natural talent Boris had for creating his own dance with backflips connected in.
And the stars fly out of the sky, and my tears rolled into the ocean. Now I'm looking for a reason why, that you have set my words in motion.
Cause if you're not really here, then the stars don't even matter. Now I feel too tired to hear, the song that's to tired to matter.
Because if you're not really here, then I don't wanna be either; I wanna be next to you..
Black and Gold,
Black and Gold,
Black and Gold.
Clara noted through the happy setting, a dark distaste for everyone in the room begin to set in. Peter set his case of beautiful roses onto a shining glass table while the violinists in the corner of the room practiced the piece of music for the queen. Ace pulled his new, red jacket close to his body as he leaned on a pillar to the side of the dance floor, and Julius fixed his tie for what had to be the millionth time that night. The twins kept their blades close, and Boris seemed to be subconcisely nibbling on the catnip.
She sighed before calling everyone close for a meeting in order to stop the stupid feud.
"Now, you seem to appreciate all of your presents I gave you." She said with an innocent voice. Blood smiled at her ingenious idea once more. most answered with "of course" or "why wouldn't we?" Clara's smile grew, and that is when everyone suspected something.
"All of you got each other a present!!" She revealed. Vivaldi had sewn Julius the amazing tux he wore tonight, while Julius created the golden watch that Hatter took wherever he went now. Ace had given the recipe to Elliot for the cake, and Elliot had hand picked the roses that Peter loved so dearly. Peter had the catnip shipped in especially for Boris who, had given two of his knives from a set to the twins. The Twins, in return, gave Gowland the ideas for new roller coasters, and finally, the beautiful music that was for the queen, was written by Gowland himself.
Everyone was astounded on how she was able to complete this deed under their own noses.
"See? You don't hate each other as much as you think!" Clara concluded with a gleaming smile.
