Clara and Elliot walked on the cobblestone path, the breeze blowing softly.

"It's cooler today." Elliot commented.

"Yeah, it's cooler than two time periods ago." She remembered the intense heat at the park.

"Are you going to the Queen of Hearts ball?"

"Yeah, and I can't wait to see you all there!" Clara smiled as Blood walked out onto the patio with a cup of tea.

"Ah, Clara." He smiled kindly to the young girl. "What brings you here?"

"To give you a present!" She replied, putting her hands behind her back. Elliot smiled, and knew the present was exactly what blood needed. She set it into his hands, and he opened the crimson red paper around the present to reveal a stunning gold watch. The markings on the sides were of hats dancing around. He stared at it before smiling gratefully at Clara.

"Thank you very much." He said setting the watch on a nearby table. "I wonder, how on earth did yo-"

"Blood." Elliot pointed to five figures appearing in the distance. One was being followed by the twins while the other two were bickering viciously. Clara smiled.

"Blood, we have a treaty we ask you to sign." Peter rummaged through his coat, bringing out a parchment of paper. Afterwards, jumping on Clara and snuggling his face into the crook of her neck. He told her how much he missed her, but the only thing she did was grimace. Ace was able to pull him off her, and Clara went to hide behind Elliot, since he was the only person closest. He chuckled, then turned back to the conversation at hand. Boris snuck away from the gatekeepers and to Clara's side where he constantly poker her side.

"I will not sign." Blood pushed the paper away, taking a sip of his tea. Peter let out an annoyed sigh.

"Just sign the goddamn paper. It benefits you more than us." Peter growled.

"Yes, but then I'd have to pay for any other expense, which is a lot." Blood countered. This pissed Peter off, and when Peter is pissed off, he pulls out his gun. Elliot drew his as well.

"Sign them so we can go!"

"No."

Peter clicked a bullet into the barrel and aimed at Blood. He shot, but Blood dodged, getting his M16 out.

"This fucking madness!" Clara yelled, throwing herself into the middle of the shootout. She stood strong and yelled at the top of her lungs.

"This will not benefit anyone! Both of you stop acting like you're loose cannons and calm your man tits!!" She yelled at the two. Blood was surprised by the sudden outburst. Not only did she step in at a point she could be hurt, but she didn't care about herself; she cared more about he and the rabbit.

"This is stupid! pulling guns on each other still won't change their mind!!"

Peter glared at Blood, pretending to put his gun down. Blood put his M16 away, but kept his pistol loaded. After a few seconds of total silence, Peter shot again at Blood, skimming his cheek. Clara sighed and stepped in once again, but this time, Blood had already let a bullet fly. Time seemed to slow, and Clara's eyes widened as the bullet pierced her right shoulder. The horrible sound of bone cracking filled the air. Clara fell instantly onto the cobblestone. She felt total shock, and her body twitched with fear. She gasped for breath as Boris held her in his arms.

"CLARA?!?" He yelled, hoping that she would hear.

"I-..I-..." She stared in horror at the blood that coated his hands. He stroked her hair, saying calming things into her ear. Elliot held his head in his hands, saying 'shit.' over and over again. Peter threw his gun into the now dark sky. Blood just stood, shocked. He knew only one person could save her now.

"Everyone." He addressed. "We need to get her to Julius. He is her only hope now." Ace picked up Clara bridesmaid style and began to run, everyone on his heels.

"A-..c..e?" She choked. Her vision blurred and darkened around the edges. All she could see was the red fabric of his tattered jacket. Every color swirled, but she could still figure out who wore the color.

Blood always found black and white best suited for him. He hoped for something exciting to happen with Clara, but not this! He vowed to make it up to her. He was forever in her debt.

Clara could make out Elliot's golden curls bob up and down as they ran. She thought if she died, she would never get to see him eat the cake recipe she worked so hard on.

The twins moved in sync, their badges and uniforms bobbing up and down as they worriedly raced after her.

And Boris, his fuchsia tail, hair, and ears were the easiest to spot. He had been her friend when everyone else loved her. Clara gulped as much air as her punctured lungs would allow. She did not want to die. She had so much to live for.

"Hold on Clara." Ace whispered into her ear. "You can't die. We won't let you."

Julius blew his nose once more, and went back to work. Clara had given something to him that no one else had: a friend. He had finished three clocks, but was stopped by a very challenging clock. He had checked the clock twice, but could not find the problem stopping it from ticking.

The door flew open, and there stood seven soaked people with faces of fear.

"Y-You have to help her.... please.." Boris pleaded to him. He looked confused at all of them. His eyes widened at the sight of Clara.

"No.." He wrenched her out of Ace's grasp and ran to the bedroom, setting her down in the bed.
