*BANG!!!*

"Oh, come on!"

"What?"

Nothing," Hannah mumbled. "I just can't figure out why this thing won't stop glitching out!"

"Here, let me see that..."

"Oh no, I'm going to prove to you that I'm just as much a computer geek as you," She scoffed.

"Or," I said, "I could just press a couple buttons here, and then you can get done faster."

"Or, I could prov-- Fine."

She proceeded to tinkering with the machine, but not without the occasional death glance at me. As she was doing this, I was creating another security code to sell to a company. I had already made a ton of money doing this, but this time, if I sold this, I would be set for the rest of high school.

As I was finalizing the first part of it, a knock came on the door.

"Were you expecting anyone?" Hannah asked me.

"No, I thought you had invited your boyfriend over."

"Ha ha, very funny. You do realize that the only boy I really interact with is you, right?"

"Well, if I didn't invite anyone, and you didn't, then who..."

Another knock. I proceeded to open the door, but not without fingering the little shocker in my pocket; a birthday present from Hannah.

I cautiously opened the door, only to be greeted with thin air.

"Da friq..."

"So, who is it?" Hannah asked tentatively.

"Casper. He would like to see you. Said something about help with math homework."

"I'm dying of laughter. So, no one there?"

"Nope. Weird. It's like they just disappeared."

I paused to think for a second.

"Actually, could you come here for a second? I want to look at something." She meandered over, and looked where I was pointing.

"Nothing that I can see... Wait. There's a camera there. Small. Military class. Want me to tell you the frequency it's running?"

"I want to know why it's there in the first place."

She grabbed a pair of binoculars on the shelf, and went to the window, which, by experience, we knew no one could see through.

"The inner lens' of the camera seem to be moving. I think they're running a face identification software."

"Now that is a very strange thing to be running."

"Or not. They may be trying to match you to something."

I thought of what could be going on.

"Hannah, does it constantly update, or is it storing the info there?"

"I think it stores it there, based on the size. However, it looks like every now and then, it sends an update to its main control unit. The frequency is 68627.07 Hz. Node 23.009. What are you going to do Hyrum?"

"I am going to try and get our identities back."

"From who?"

"Another thing I'm going to try and figure out."

She gave me a look that portrayed pure sarcasm.

"And how are you going to do that?"

"By asking nicely."

"... Or you could-"

"Actually, I'll be hacking their frequency to destroy the data"

"...Of course. What else."

I began to wire up the remote to my laptop to start up the hacking program. Then, Hannah had an idea.

"Why don't we just let it run and see what people are trying to do to us?"

I thought about this, and realized that she may be onto something. I closed my laptop, then proceeded with the math homework that I had been working on. When my parents came home, I just continued with my work, and went to bed.
