This was getting exciting. First, Hyrum got second chair in orchestra not once, but TWICE. I don't know what he did to offend the universe, but it happened. I feel kind of bad for him, but not too much. Anyway, the other thing is that we meet this guy named Isaac. (By the way, Isaac was the cause of Hyrum getting second chair a second time.) He asked us to meet him at the cafeteria during lunch, and then he dropped this bomb that someone is stalking us and he is from a mafia that is trying to recruit us. A freakin MAFIA! And to add to that, he generated a freakin INVISIBILITY SHIELD on us. This was getting crazy, and I couldn't  wait until after school.

---

"Hey, there he is," said Hyrum.

"Isaac?" I looked up from my phone. We were walking to the bike rack. I was ready to give my answer. His phone not having any recognizable hardware was throwing me through a loop. Also the fact that he generated an invisibility shield.

"Uh, no, it's Carter."

"Crap. Should we avoid him?"

"Probably."

We steered away from him and to a different route to the bike lock.

"Did Isaac say where we were supposed to meet him?"

"No not that I remember," he said.

As if on cue, my phone chimed.

"Isaac just texted me. Uhh, I don't remember giving him my number."

"That's just slightly creepy."

"You think? Ok, it says to meet him at the parking lot, and to bring our bikes, just in case."

"Great. Let's tie ourselves up for him while we're at it."

"Give him a chance. He just told us where to meet him."

"Fine."

I took a closer look at Hyrum.

"Are you ok? Do you want to go with him? 'Cuz I do."

He shrugged.

"I don't know. This seems too sudden. I have a lot of other stuff to do, like school. Although, this might pay well..."

I rolled my eyes and slapped him.

"Is that all you care about? Money?"

He rubbed his face. "No, I care about my friends."

"I'm pretty much your only friend."

"I haven't let you die yet, have I? And besides, you have to admit, with a couple extra bucks, we could get some of that technology we were wanting."

I sighed, and we started to unlock our bikes.

Carter showed up.

"Hey Hyrum, remember me?" he asked, throwing his arm around him. He glanced at me and then looked back at Hyrum. Hyrum threw Carter's arm off of him.

"Gee, how could I forget?" Hyrum said sarcastically.

"Hey, I was just telling you what i had heard from other people. By the way, what were you talking about o that kid Isaac?"

Hyrum gave me a hurried glance. If what Isaac said was true, then we needed to get away from Carter, fast. I glanced around. My phone chimed. 'Use this to get away from him' It was from Isaac again. How'd he know Carter was with us? I looked over at Carter again.

"Hey, I want to show you and your girlfriend something," he said. "Come over here."

"She's not my girlfriend," he said.

"Whatever."

I decided to take a chance and use whatever kind of thing Isaac was talking about. Then a ring popped out of my phone. I stared at it, dumbstruck, until sense finally came over me and i put it on.

My mind seemed to go into overdrive. Instantly, my hand found it's way to the small of Carter's back, and the ring fit perfectly in it. It gave a small buzz, and Carter promptly fell on the floor.

"Um, Hannah... What did you just do?" Hyrum looked even more confused than me.

"I really don't know. Maybe it's just time that we go meet Isaac again, and get some more answers.

"Or he might just give us more questions."

"I think that we just need to go and find out what the heck the universe is trying to tell us."

---

We found Isaac waiting by an entrance to the parking lot. He was on his phone again, with his back to us. This time we heard was he was saying.

"...reek here," said the phone.

"Why haven't you cleaned it up yet?" Isaac asked.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'WHY HAVEN'T I CLEANED IT UP YET'!!?!?!" yelled the phone.

"Weren't you going to clean it up, Tessa?" he replied.

"I TOLD YOU, I WILL NOT, AND I REPEAT, NOT BE CLEANING UP HIS HAIRBALL!!!!!" screamed the phone, who apparently seemed to be Tessa.

"Well, then the house is going to stink until I come back," said Isaac.

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!! GET OVER HERE KNOW!!!! I WILL NOT AL-".

Isaac interrupted her and ended the call, turning to us. Savage.

"Hey guys, how you doing. Sorry about the outburst. Tessa can be a little over the edge with some things." he said. "So, what do you think about what I said."

"How'd you text Hannah? She didn't give you her number," said Hyrum.

"I can do things you don't know about," he replied.

I decided to just cut to the chase.

"Can I see your phone please?"

He looked at me strangely, and then a look of understanding went over his face.

"Sure, here you go," he said, handing his phone to me.

I looked over Isaac's phone. As I expected, there was nothing familiar on it at all. Nada, zip, zero.

"You can't find anything familiar on it, can you," he said.

"Yeah, about that, why?"

"Built it myself," he said.

"Really?," said Hyrum, sounding intrigued.

"Yep. Circuits, case. Even the metal it's made of. Smelted and molded it." he said.

"Why?" I said. "Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy one already made?"

"Sure, but it won't be able to do this. He held his hand out for it, and I handed it back. He tapped some buttons and the impossible happened. IT FREAKIN TURNED INTO A LAPTOP!!! I'm not kidding! Me and Hyrum stared at it with are jaws hanging open. It was a phone, and then it unfolded on itself and enlarged into a laptop. Isaac smiled at us.

"Pretty cool, right?"

We kept staring.

"H-ho-how'd you do that?" stuttered Hyrum. I couldn't even speak.

"Nanotechnology. I invented this variation myself, though I'm still working out the kinks. The mafia uses it as well, but it is i the prehistoric ages compared to mine."

"W-w-what do you mean?" I finally stuttered.

"Mine transforms, they only make stuff form," he said.

"Huh," was all I could say.

"So, what do you guys think about what I said earlier?" he asked.

I glanced at Hyrum. He looked at me, and shrugged.

Hyrum was the one to answer. "Well, I guess it could be fun. But you have got to give us access to some of those materials."

Isaac smiled. "Sure, that can be arranged."
