Welcome to the first part of our new system! This chapter is in Isaac's point of view, and it explains about the new challenges ahead. Hope you enjoy this new system!

Hannah and Hyrum found me leaning against the wall near the cafeteria looking at my phone.

"Sorry, Tessa, I have to go. You'll have to take care of Matt's hairballs yourself."

"NO! I will not be going near them! Do you know how disgusting they-"

"Gotta go, they're almost here."

"DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME HERE! TELL ME-"

"Sorry, gotta go."

Hannah and Hyrum came up to me. I immediately noticed that they had a guarded look to them. Then my sensor alerted me. I looked around and found it focused on Hyrum's wrist. 'Huh, looks home-made' I thought.

"Alright, what do you want?" said Hyrum.

"Right to the point, aren't you," I said, setting my phone down on the wall. This was going to be interesting. Not as interesting as Matt's hairballs, though. I sometimes wondered what that cat got off its fur.

"What does this have to do with me getting first chair back? I'm not stupid. I made the excuse to get something to talk this through with Hannah before we came here."

"I understand, but let me ask you something. You guys are good with computers, right?"

He seemed to not be expecting this.

"Uh, yeah, I guess," he said

"Don't sell yourself short Hyrum," said Hannah. To me she said, "Yeah, we're pretty good."

"Ok, what can you do?"

"Why do you care about that?" said Hyrum.

"I have my reasons."

"Well, I'm good with the hardware of computers, and Hyrum is good with software," said Hannah.

That was all I needed. I then raced into what this entire thing was about.

"Alright, now I'm going to be straight with you and get to the point. You are being followed, I know who it is, and I know how to help you befor-"

"Before what, we die?" Hyrum snickered.

"Possibly. More or less, you won't have a cushy life anymore."

They stared at me. Guess they weren't expecting me to agree.

"You are being followed. Don't look all surprised. You think cheating the school cafeteria didn't grab anyone's attention? The people following you sent Carter Quade to find you."

They stared at me for a while.

"So, is this just a kidnapping?" said Hannah.

"No, they want to recruit you," I said.

"Should we be worried?" she said

"Of the people, no, but you should be of Carter. I don't know how he did it, but he got back into recruitment, and that's bad."

"How?" she said.

"He doesn't like new recruits coming in that are better then him, so he tries to be a recruiter. Last time he did that, our body count dropped very low."

"What did he do to make that happen?" said Hyrum.

"Well, a recruiter is in charge of the person they bring in. Carter just made sure they got the hardest stuff and flunked. Eventually, the head honcho caught on and kicked him out of that job."

"So, are you a recruiter?" said Hannah

"Sort of. I work on my own, but I noticed you guys awhile ago, so I kept tabs on you to see if they noticed you as well, and soon enough they did. I was coming to talk to you guys today before they sent someone, but somehow Carter got back in, and apparently he's here to get you to. Actually, you talked to him this morning, didn't you Hyrum."

"Uh, yeah, I did. How do you know that?" he said.

"I was going to talk to you this morning, but he got to you first. You guys left to quickly for me to get to you, and the bell rang," I said.

"Why did you stay away when he came up to Hyrum?" asked Hannah.

"Well, me and Carter aren't exactly best buds," I said.

"Does that have to do with why you work alone?"

"Yep."

"Wait, hold on. You haven't told us who is wanting to recruit us," said Hyrum.

"My apologies. The German Mafia Switzüländ3r is looking to recruit you."
