Sorry about the long wait, school has kept me and Link75 on our toes. Any who, here is the next chapter, however short it is. Enjoy!
"There is body damage on the rear right side of the car. Sorry, I couldn't get the shield up in time."
"You're fine, I think I can live with a damaged paint job."
I circled the car around and looked around for the attacker. I went to connect my eye to the cars viewing systems. 'Error: cannot connect' flashed in my vision. 'Oh, right, duh. Eye's broken,' I thought.
"Tessa, get me my viewing helmet. Man, I haven't used that ages."
"Yes ma'am. Do you want one Hyrum?"
"Uh, sure?" He seemed to be confused.
A compartment opened up in the middle console between the chairs. Two helmets came out. I grabbed mine and put it on, pushing a couple buttons on the side. Hyrum copied what I did.
"Connect us to viewing system, Tessa" I said. The screen flashed to life.
"Whoa!" said Hyrum. "This is so cool! I can see everywhere outside the car!"
"Try looking underneath you," I said.
"Holy Friq! I can see down there too."
I turned my attention to the threat. I looked around and... Nothing.
"Warning. More missiles approaching," said Tessa.
I looked to the radar. Sure enough, more dots.
"Where are those little bugs coming from? Tessa, can you do a scan and figure out where the missiles are coming?"
"Sure thing ma'am." There was a pause. "They are military class fighter jet missiles, and they are being released from a northwestern position, 3000 m above your current position."
"Thanks Tessa."
"Sure thing. The missiles are getting closer."
Five missiles came from the right side of the car. One glance and I knew that these were not normal heat seeking missiles, these were electron-lockers. I swerved to the right, and barrel rolled under them, at the same time firing anti-missiles at them.
"Uh, Isaac? I don't think you got all of them..." Hyrum was looking towards the back of the car.
I looked behind just in time to see three more missiles coming straight for us.
"These are different ones. Crap," I said. They weren't missiles that could be taken out with anti-missiles. However....
"Tessa, you restocked the car with those decoy drones, right?"
"Ma'am, I always make sure the car is fully stocked with everything you need."
"Well, release them already!"
Three blue and black painted robots came out of the bottom of the car, and lead all the missiles to the far left of where we were, where they promptly collided with each other, exploding.
"Nice, Tessa. Now let's pay a visit to our trigger happy friend."
I turned the car around and started to fly up. The freezing sign on my visor for the exterior cameras lit up. Frost starting to cover my vision.
"Tessa, turn on the heaters of the cameras."
"Yes ma'am."
The my vision cleared up to show a hover plane floating in the air.
"Oooo, they're getting fancy," I said. "Let's see how expensive the inside is."
