I was almost finished with the book I was reading when Taehyung walked in.
It was your typical best friend falls in love with you sort of thing and then you eventually realize you love him back. Blah blah blah blah blah. It. Wasn't accurate. Things never happen like that. End of story. The reason I'm so hung up on this book is because I have been starting to fall in love with my best friend. Taehyung, but unlike the story he hasn't fallen in love with me or realized I'm the one, so I've kind of figures it's not gonna happen. Well any way as I was saying, Taehyung walked in.
"Hi-hi"
"Hi Taehyung." I said not looking up from my book."
"______, why do you always have your nose stuck in a book?"
"Because I like to read that's why."
"Well why don't you save the ending of that book for later and come with me."
"Depends on where were going."
"Well I was planning on going shopping!"
Shopping. One thing I couldn't resist.
"Okay let's go!" I said as I jumped to my feet and threw my book down.
After that I grabbed His hand and ran down the hall to the door. Once we were outside I kept trying to get him to walk faster because he was sooo slow.
"_______, you're cute when you're excited."
"You're funny Taehyung. C'mon just hurry up! I need to shop!" I said as I continued to pull on his arm.
"Alright fine." He said giving In hurrying to the first shop with me.
Once we got inside the store I ran around to look at everything. I kept noticing every now and then, Taehyung watching me as I looked at things and picked them up or tried them on.
"You would look cute in this _____." Taehyung said as he walked forward with a big fluffy hat with ears.
"Ohmygosh, I love it!" I said snatching it from him and trying it on.
"Here I'll buy it for you."
"No no I can buy it. Don't waste your money."
"It's not a waste." He said as he waited to be handed the hat with his arm outstretched.
"Fine." I said as I handed it to him.
Once we finished paying I walked next to Taehyung and stood on my tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Kamsahamnida Taehyung."
I said as I took the hat and walked towards the exit.
He ran to catch up to me once I left the store.
"Are you hungry? Why don't we go eat somewhere."
"Okay, let's go."
The two of us walked into the nearest restaurant we could find.
After we sat down we ordered our food and drinks right away. While we waited Taehyung and I just talked about random stuff, until he brought up my books again.
"You know how you always read those same kind of books? About the best friends falling in love with each other? Well I want to be like the people in your books."
Then he handed me a copy of one of my absolute favorite books.
"Why are you giving me-"
"Just open it and read the first page."
I opened it and on the first page where it mentions the two main characters' names they were scribbled out and replaced by two other names.
Mine and Taehyung's.
"This is proof that you will end up like the people in your favorite book. Because you're in it. And so am I."
"Well what happens next?"
"Read the story and find out."
I flipped to the last page which was filled with Taehyung's hand writing.
"_____ took her new hat out of the bag and wanted to put it on." I read out loud.
"As she reached inside of it to poof it out in order to be able to wear it she felt something small and sharp."
At this point I took out my hat and reached into it and felt something exactly like what was described. Grasped it between my fingers and pulled it out of the hat.
It was a diamond ring. I looked over at Taehyung to ask where the ring came from, and I found him down infront of me on one knee.
"Well ____. How will our story end?
Will you marry me?"
I couldn't even believe what was happening until it registered in my mind and I answered....
"YES!" I said as he picked me up in his arms. Then he kissed me, and I knew that my life was way better than any book I had ever read.
