"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm positive. I saw them last night holding hands when we were at the bowling alley."
He took a deep breath and walked towards her. Once in front of her he stopped and spoke up.
"Valerie. We're over. I know about you and Daniel."
He immediately turned away from her and started walking back towards me with a big smirk on his face.
You could hear Valerie sobbing to her friends as Jungkook hooked his arm with mine as we walked out of the cafeteria.
"How.. *sniff* did he even *sniff* find out?!"
One of her friends responded. "Its gotta be Ginger, she's always watching out for him and is almost always with him. The two of them take the term best friends to the next level.
I smiled as I heard Valerie's friend say that as we left because it was true.
Jungkook has always been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I always look out for him and he does the same for me.
He's sort of the school heart throb, so I make sure to protect him from girls too. Well at least the cheaters. As you just witnessed Jungkook broke up with Valerie because I saw her holding hands with some other guy and then she kisses him. So I made sure to tell Jungkook.
We always have each others backs no matter what.
*Ring*
"Oh last hour! See you after school Kookie!" I said as I ran to my last hour.
I had world History so it was basically a class for me to sit around and do nothing. And luckily it was a movie day, so my friend Lauren and I basically took a nap against the back wall.
We were woken up by the sound of the final bell and I immediately stood up and exited the room, heading towards my locker.
After I packed all of the things I needed into my backpack I headed towards Jungkook's locker, but I paused a few lockers away when I saw him with some girl. Scratch that. It wasn't just any girl. It was Misty Cho. My worst enemy. Not only that but she was a billion times prettier than me and Jungkook has been in love with her forever. I sat there and watched them as they sat there laughing and smiling, but what really hit me was when Jungkook kissed her! Then the two of them walked down the hallway hand and hand right past me and Jungkook didnt even notice.
Literally EVERY SINGLE DAY I HAVE EVER GONE TO SCHOOL Jungkook and I have walked home together since we only live four houses away from each other.
I felt so angry and hurt. But I shoved my feelings down into my heart and ignored them as I started walking home on my own.
Once I got home I headed straight to my room and didnt even bother doing my homework. I laid down on my bed and started crying. After about fifteen minutes or so I got a hold of myself and convinced myself that everything would be fine tomorrow.
But it wasn't.
Jungkook ignored me for the next three weeks. Three weeks!
I was dying. I never even got a text or a simple glance from him in the hallway. Every night I just cried myself to sleep. I was starting to act differently too and my friends were starting to notice, except for Jungkook who probably wouldn't even care If I died.
It was another friday and my last hour today was study hall with my friends Lily, Asha, and Jocelyn.
"That is it!" Lily said as she stood up and slammed her fist against the table.
"You need to forget him and move on! You are too good to be his friend and he obviously has turned into a little jerk. And you do have other friends. You are coming with us to my house after school and you are sleeping over."
Then she walkd over to me and hugged me. "Alright. I will. Thank You."
After the final bell the four of us walked to the ice cream store and then to Lily's house. As we all walked into her front door and took off our shoes we ran behind Lily into the basement where for some reason she froze at the bottom causing us to run into her.
"Cheater!" She yelled as she pointed at her brother who was making out...with Misty Cho!
"Its not what it looks like...I promise! She yelled."
We all crossed our arms and stood blocking the stairs as I spoke up.
"What did you lose a skittle in his mouth and you were trying to get it out with your tounge? We know exactly what happened."
"UGH!!!" She said as she pushed past us and ran upstairs.
Then Lily turned to her brother. "Thanks Bro!"
"Why did you thank him?" I asked.
"Because he purposely asked her to come over so we could walk in on them. You see she's been making out with and hooking up with my brothers friends ever since her and Jungkook have been dating. So now we caught her in the act and we are going to go tell Jungkook! You're going to get your best friend back!"
Then she grabbed my arm and dragged me upstairs and out of the house to his front door.
She rang the door bell. and pushed me up to the door as the three of them
ran and hid in the bushes.
Then he answered.
"Oh. Hi Ginger." He said in a stern voice.
"Umm.. hi. I just wanted to tell you that I saw Misty-"
"Really Ginger?! I mean really? Are you really that jealous of Misty that you're going to try and break us up with some excuse. I love her and you know I have been for almost forever and we finally go out and you try to ruin it because you feel jealous?"
"Woah. woah. woah. Excuse me." Lily said as her and Asha and Jocelyn appeared from the bushes.
"Listen Asswipe. We were just at my house and we caught your precious Misty making out with my brother. And not only that, but she has been hooking up and making out with my brother's friends ever since you've been dating. So she's just trying to keep you from getting hurt."
Jungkook Never took his eyes off me while Lily was talking. and once she finished he kept staring at me.
"Wow Ginger. I mean really, wow. You really outdid yourself this time. Making a big elaborate lie and involving your friends in it. Wow. Well I have a response for you. Two words."
He took a step towards me and looked right into my eyes.
"We're over."
