"I don't know why it keeps going off Jungkook. There must be something wrong with the wiring or something."
I said to my boyfriend Jungkook as I turned off our in house alarm for the third time that morning.
"Well then maybe we should just get rid of it. It goes off for no reason. And we live in a safe neighborhood, nothing will happen anyway."
"You don't understand how scary it is to be alone here without you though. It makes me feel safe."
It was true. Jungkook was traveling all the time with BTS, and being alone in the house scared me. Installing our alarm was the only sense of safety I had.
"The alarm has done nothing to help us so I'm going to call the company and have them come and uninstall it."
"No! If you do I swear I'll.... I'll... Well I won't be very happy with you.!" I said as I stormed out and ran up to our bedroom. I jumped onto the bed and started crying. Now I know you probably think this is a stupid thing to cry about, an alarm for Pete's sake. Well the truth is the loneliness around the house was really getting to me. And I didn't know what other solution I had besides an in home security system.
After I calmed myself down I eventually pulled out a book and decided to read.
About an hour later I finished my book just as I could start to smell food. I walked downstairs to see what Jungkook was cooking. As I passed the front door I noticed that the alarm system was gone. There were just a bunch of wires sticking out of the wall where it used to be.
I was pissed. I walked into the kitchen and right away when I walked in, Jungkook saw me he gave me a hug.
"Now _____, before you say anything just listen. I know that things here get scary at night alone, and you don't always feel safe, but that alarm drove me insane, so it needed to go. and I have found a solution that I think will make up for getting rid of the alarm and then some."
He walked over to me and told me to close my eyes. Then he walked away for minute and came back.
"Open your eyes."
I opened them and saw a big red box in his arms.
"Here, open it!"
He set the box on the counter and I opened it.
Inside the box was the cutest most adorable puppy I had ever seen.
"Oh Jungkook, I love her!"
I took another look at her collar and saw that she Had a dog tag. I lifted it up to look at what it said. Her name plate read "Alarm".
"Her name is alarm. So now you have your alarm, and it's almost like we never got rid of the last one."
"Jungkook, she's perfect. But instead of alarm I think I'll give her a nick name. I'll call her Allie."
"Perfect. And hey at least this alarm won't go off every 10 minute for no reason."
"She's perfect. I love you Jungkook."
"I love you too, and our new alarm."
