⚜️ King Zeregorn ⚜️
The King sat in his throne and he was reading through scrolls of taxes. His work was piling up besides him. It seemed endless but somehow in the end he always managed to finish everything on time.
His ears picked up somebody's footsteps from outside the throne hall and he lowered the scroll to see who was about to come in.
The doors opened and saw his General saluting him. "What's wrong General Kyna?"
She bowed and whistled for the other two soldiers to come in, carrying a carton box above them. "Your Majesty, from your Aunt, came the monthly package."
The King wanted to jump up from his seat and clap his hands together from excitement, but he couldn't. He was in presence of more than one of his soldiers and one of his best friends. He couldn't make a fool of himself. He cleared his throat. "Thank you General."
She bowed and signaled to the two guards to leave the room, the box was left on the button of the steps to the throne. "I'll be taking my leave as well."
"Kyna..." The Lady General froze and turned back to her King. It was rare times when he called her by her name. "Can you also bring some head ache pills?"
Her heart picked him from worrying for the health of the King. "Your Highness, you should really go to see Doctor Lee."
The King held up a hand and shook his head. "A King will never kneel down for stupid things such as headaches."
The Lady General left her pouch of herbs on top of the box and left, disappointed that she could not change her King's mind. The King stood from his throne and walked down to open the box. His excitement vanished. The thought of eating the delicious food which lay in the box made his mouth water.
He hid the small pouch into his inner pocket of his golden cape, then opened the box. He took out a donnut and bit into it. It was so delicious, sweet and soft.
His headache intensified suddenly and the clasped his hands to his forehead, grimacing and trying not to scream out of pain. He gave out sure-pressed groans, but it only made it worse. His vision weakened black dots appeared in front of his eyes and his legs collapsed under him. The King fell onto his knees, while clenching his head, with his hands. His fingers clawing at his long silver hair which fell into his eyes.
It has been like this. Since a thousand years, after he killed his father who managed to seal the Demon King into a mirror. Headaches....no. They couldn't be called headaches. They were really migraines. They haunted him, when they would torture his soul. The herbs and pills which Kyna brought him did little to ease the pain, till it was bearable. He couldn't even eat the food which his Aunt kindly sent him from the other side of Azia.
"I'm a weak King...." he whispered before darkness took him.
So pathetic!
⚜️ Saphire POV ⚜️
We sat on my bed and I offered her some of biscuits which I managed to steal from the cafeteria this morning. She gratefully took and started munching on one small bite. I kept fiddling with my thumbs, as I waited anxiously for her to finish her damned chocolate cookie so she can tell that story how a monarch ended up getting his butt kicked out of the school .
"Hmm. Thank you for the cookie Saph. "
"You welcome." I said. I waited for her to jump into the story but she just kept looking around my room , which wasn't even that interesting. I mean, sure it was bigger than my bedroom on Earth, but it wasn't grand or anything. I had a separate bathroom with a shower and so forth, and a small balcony which overlooked, or to be precise down-looked to the endless clouds below the whole Island the school was built on. "Amanda, I am dying here, please just tell me already."
