I was walking down  the corridor heading to the gardens when I sensed somebody behind me. I stopped and turned around. There was nobody. Since yesterday I felt as if somebody was always hot on my heels...

Strange...

Maybe it was only my imagination since three days ago I had my duel and I won, I was praised by a lot of students and they stopped me when I was going somewhere to shake my hands and they asked if I needed any help with my studies. My answer was the same every time, a kind no thank you very much.

"Little Princess is very popular in the Institute at the moment..." I heard a voice say, but it wasn't from behind me it. I heard the voice move around from my back to right in front of me. Either I was feeling as if it was a ghost or something and if it was, I always get scared to my core. I detested ghosts!

Something flashed past me and I just instinctively kicked out with my left leg. I felt something pressing against the force of my leg and I noticed there was a male with his head bent forward, both of his hands clenching my shoes, which was aimed to his lower part stomach. I gasped, realizing what could have happened. And I mean the very low low part of his waist, not even near his stomach....

"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry!" Luckily he was able to predict precisely my move.  He let go of my shoes and I brought back my leg beside my other.

"If I didn't have the reflexes of a cheetah, you would have kicked me right in the groin."

"I'm really really sorry Sir!" I apologized putting my hands together.

"No worries. It's my fault, I shouldn't have scared you like that."

"What? So ... you were the one who followed me since Wednesday?!"

"No. I followed you since the last thirsty minutes of today, Friday." Ok then what followed me two days prior to today was a ghost. Confirmed. I will put salt around my bed and door. Tonight is a defense night! He rubbed his chin, while looking at  me. His eyes searched my face, taking in every detail.

"Is there something on my face?"

"No. Quite the opposite."

"How am I to take that?"

He inclined his head to the side, a playful smile on his face. "Now that I have a closer look at you, you do look quite similar to someone I knew."

"Really...." I suspiciously looked at him. "Is this one of your  kind of pick up line? Because let me tell you it's ain't working on me."

He chuckled, bending his head black. "No...this was only a honest friendly observation."

"..." For a few long seconds we looked into each other's eyes.

"What are you doing here Francis Brauwn?" A female soprano voice inquired.

"Ahhhh Head Mistress Anastasia!" Francis twirled around his arms extended then bowed to the middle aged woman. He returned the smiled on his face, but it seemed forced.

"Don't play innocent. You know very well that you are not allowed to be here in school premises."

"I just came around to congratulate the Little Princess on her win against ...um... what ever her name is." He winked at me.

"Hmm..."  The Headmistress didn't seem to by it. "Please leave Sir Francis, because I call the Guards on you."

"Yes Madam." He stepped aside and turned to me. "Goodbye Lady Hawkings."
Suddenly he disappeared with a small curl of smoke and sparking something, taking its place. I just stared in awe. I never seen somebody disappear like that, not even magicians on Earth.

"Miss Hawekings please close your mouth, it's very un-Lady-like."

I did then I looked at her. "Um..."

"Shouldn't you be at class?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Well...Yes. I was on my way when he just appeared from nowhere." I said but it seemed like she wasn't fond of excuses and her brows creased in annoyance. "May I ask who is Francis exactly?"

She sighed and looked towards the gardens. "He was a student of mine, and he got himself expelled from the Institute a hundred years back. He isn't something you should consider yourself with."

I quickly nodded. "Yeah...I was just wandering." I excused myself and left to attend the remaining 25 minutes of Element Class.

I sat down to the lunch table and Amanda greeted me with a grin.

"Guess what."

"What?"

"I got a X in my Archery class!!"

I shook her and grinned at her. "That's wonderful Amanda! Well done!!!"

"Thank you." She hugged me with one of her arms and  then continued to eat her food. A few minutes passed then she asked, "And you?"

"Me? I managed to get a K...."

"Oh I'm sorry Saph."

"It's fine. I'll just study harder next time."
I pushed my empty plate away from me and started to drink from my cup. "Amanda?"

"Yes?"

"Do you know a person named Francis Brauwn?"

"What?? Did you meet him!? How do you know him! When did you hear his name!?" She started to freak out. Her eyes were wide with something I didn't recognize.

"He basically sneaked up on me before I could get to Element Class. He congratulated me on my duel and blah blah. Why is he an important person?"

"WHAT DO OU MEAN IS HE AN IMPORTANT  PEROSN!?" My friend literally lost her balls, she screamed at the top of her lungs, and made the people who were left in the lunchroom steer towards us. "Francis Brauwn is the brother to Kai, and second cousin to Claude."

"What? You mean his blood to the monarchy?! Well snizzles.... I nearly tried to kick him in the —um— never mind."

Amanda sat back into her seat and crossed her arms. "Well you can just call yourself lucky that you met him. No one seen him since a hundred years since he was expelled."

"Why was he expelled?"

She shrugged "No one knows."

"There must be some kind of rumor...." I pushed her to tell me. I wanted to know badly. "Am?"

"Well okay I'll tell you. But not here. Let's go up to your bedroom."

"Alright."
