I glared at Bella from across the lot, having had to get a ride from someone else to school (since I didn't want to ride the death trap truck).
"Is that your sister with Edward Cullen?" Angela questioned. I nodded, my glare unwavering.
"She ditched her own sister for him," I muttered.
"Yeah but it's him," Angela replied, raising an eyebrow at me. I rolled my eyes, walking alongside her to class. "Have you got a date to prom yet?"
"Yep," I told her.
"Who?"
"Myself."
"That's not a date. You need to ask someone."
"This prom thing is so heteronormative. Like I haven't heard one person mention just taking a friend or taking a date of the same gender, or whatever. Like maybe I wanna take a girl," I ranted.
"Then take a girl. Ignore the people that think it has to be a boy and a girl." Angela shrugged.
"I was just making a point but thanks. This is why we're friends." I wrapped my arms around her side, giving her a side hug as I walked with her to class. She hugged back.
"That and who else would agree to go on all these marches and protests with you?" She questioned, rhetorically.
"You're there as my bodyguard," I joked, nudging her. "And Bella is too scared to go to them."
"No one can get passed these biceps." She laughed, flexing her arm.
"Have you been lifting lately? Because it is showing. Slay girl," I spoke, both of us laughing.
"Honestly it's the other way around. You could probably take down a grown man if you were angry enough," Angela replied. "You're as strong as ten men when you want to be."
"That is not true," I argued, stopping at my locker.
"Remember dodgeball in PE? You took out half the team by yourself," she recollected, rolling her eyes as I shook my head.
"You're exaggerating and besides that doesn't show strength, it shows agility or whatever." I shrugged.
"I am not."
"It wasn't half the-" I was cut off as I shut my locker by Alice Cullen approaching me.
"Hi, Skylar, right?" She greeted, a smile on her face.
"That's me." I nodded.
"I'll see you in class," Angela spoke, walking away. I internally cursed.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go shopping with my sister and I," she offered.
"When?"
"Friday after school."
"Um, sure, I don't have anything planned and I do need some new shoes," I told her.
