If you are interested in being a judge, you will need to read through this chapter first!

First, you do not need any previous experience to be a judge. You can be a complete newbie and I will still accept you. But I am looking for judges who are willing to be critical.

Since the awards are different this year, the number of judges will be very small. Ideally, there will only be three judges per genre.

Make sure to check the timeline before applying to be a judge! This was a huge problem last year, and a lot of judges backed out at the last minute because they were too busy. You need to be able to be on Wattpad during the times judging is happening. Of course, you do not need to be on 24/7, but be available.

If something comes up and you have already been accepted to be a judge, don't hesitate to PM me. It'll be alright if you are unable to continue judging and something important has come up.

For this reason, there will be three alternative judges. If any of the official judges can not continue to judge, then I will PM the first alternative judge to take that person's place. Each judge will be (ideally) given ten books to read. If you've read the chapter titled 'how this works' then you know how the rounds will work. Please refer to that chapter if you've forgotten.

Judges will be given a certain time period to finish their judging. I will expect you to be able to complete your judging by the end of the deadline.

Do not accept any bribery from participants. If any of them try to bribe, threaten, or blackmail you, PM me.

You can be a judge even if you are a participant. You just can't judge the genre your book is in.
