Review: The way you break the forth wall reminds me of Holden Caulfield from Catcher In the Rye. I don't highly encourage this since this technique only works if your character's voice is quirky and unmistakable (such like Holden). You use very typical phrases for your opening, thus reduces that "uniqueness" of your character. Moreover, if you were to narrate solely from your MC's POV at the beginning, you can heighten the panic sense, the confusion and her desperation to cover up whatever bad things she did to the Feds.

Review: The divisions of the family/clans remind me of The Last Avatar: Airbender and Games of Thrones. However, the opening tone, and the general tone that follows after, is not stiff enough, and perhaps too modern in my opinion. Perhaps you don't think much of it, but the term 'Father' carries more weight than the term 'Dad' (at least in my view as an ESL). 'Dad' means the father-daughter relationship is friendly and equal, which to be honest is not quite appropriate for royalty members. These are just my opinion, but for Fantasy royal settings, I think of it close to Historical Fiction than any other.
