This one is a funny one because all of my benchmark leaves out pretty much 3/4 of the list. My sister and I have a lot of fun decreasing the benchmark because things barely change at all.
Those who made it through have their score equal or above 70% (38.5/55).

Here we go.

❝can i start with how aesthetic everything is? well done, girly. i love how it looks, the feel of the book; the cover is simple and the title creative. the lowness of the mark comes from the fact that i've read a million other similar beginnings; it doesn't pop out at me. there are also punctuation errors but the spelling is good. i would encourage you to keep writing, to keep experimenting: take risks and dream big, don't settle for cliche.❞

❝okay, chapter four had the most adorable ending ever. my cold heart melted. so here's my judgement; your cover, although not bad, could be better, cleaner. your spelling and grammar is pretty good, but wordy and repetative. (i'm an editor in my spare time, so you scored on a judge, sorry.) overall, i would say that this plot feels familiar, the characters also, and though that isn't bad, i would encourage you to make the idea more your own. good job! and don't forget to keep writing!❞

❝first of all, that red title just pops out at you when you look at the cover. even though i cringed at "bad boy" in the title itself, i was intrigued by the latter part of it. it feels like most other teen fic books on wattpad, however, and there are some grammar and punctuation problems (especially the latter). the characters feel familiar, like i've met them hundreds of times before, but i can see you're trying to twist things up a bit. always keep writing, reading and practicing!❞

❝hello darling. i like what you were going for; the movie star falls in love with the nobody, with a twist. however, i think it fell flat in the execution. i felt like i was reading something i'd read before, the grammar, punctuation and wording could use help, and i'd recommend you request a cover from a cover artist. that said, i can see the devotion you had for your story and with a bit of editing, i think you could do well.❞
8. King of Egypt by @Mohiggins15
title (2/5)
-plot (4/10)
-characterization (4/10)
-cover (1/5)
-description (3/5)
-grammar (5/10)
-creativity (5/10)

❝historical fiction is one of my favourite genres even though romance is not, so i hoped this one would be an enjoyable read. however, i found myself struggling through a wall of text and grammar/punctuation problems, as well as trying to make sense of things. your cover needs a title and your books needs some editing before i'd be able to critique the idea as i should. for you, i'd recommend you read more books which have been professionally edited to learn how to style your words and writing. never give up!❞
9. Tyler & Claire Down These Country Roads by @CaseyGrieco

10. The Different Shades of Love by @BrookeN66
