1. Follow this account @HiddenGemsAwards and my main account Glass_Sword  . Really, this is an optional rule, but it would make me happy! :-)

2. If I catch you being rude to any other contestants/judges, you will not be allowed to participate in this competition.

3. If you are a contestant and are caught bribing/threatening/blackmailing the judges, you will be dismissed from this competition.

4. Only stories written in English are allowed. Sorry :(

5. You can enter up to three books as long as they are all in different genres. You can not submit two stories in the same genre.

6. Completed and ongoing stories will be accepted.

7. Your story must have a minimum of seven chapters, not including author's notes. Prologues and epilogues count. Unless your book is in the short story genre and is very short, you have to follow this rule.

8. You must add this book to either your library or public reading list. This is so that you can know when this book is updated. Password for forms: cookies

9. If you have previously won this award, you can still enter this year's awards! However, you can not re-enter your winning book. You can only enter another one of your books that has not won. Participants of last year, you can re-enter your book last year if it didn't win an award.

10. Add the #hiddengemsawards2k18 tag to the book you are entering (if you are not able to add another tag to your book, then you do not need to do this step). So really, this is an optional rule to follow.

11. Not a rule, but just a reminder: if you change your username or book title, PM this account to tell me about it! Also, if you enter a book in these awards and delete it later on, please tell me! Don't take away the opportunity for other authors to get their books entered in this award.
