34 | broken and about to be's
Jade's fingers trembled as she thrust the pen drives onto Elijah's hand.
You can't go back now.
Three pen drives. She knew exactly what they held. The opportunity to ruin her. She knew what they were before today, she just needed help remembering. It was funny, how one can keep on believing a lie so much so that it becomes the truth. That's what she had done and did.
He looked at her confused, black eyes trying to meet her nervous gaze that was so fixed on the floor of Jade's room.
"What's this for?" He asked, cutting the silence. Jade's heart tore apart.
It'll be fine. She promised herself.
As soon as she thought that, she shook her head inwardly. You can't do that again. It will not be fine. She scolded herself mentally. You need to stop omitting the truth.
"Jade." He spoke sharply, noticing the change in character. "What's this for?"
She sighed, plopping on the bed. She patted the spot next to her, beckoning for him to come sit next to her. It was the least she could do.
Elijah Zakharovich was her soon to be ex-boyfriend but she hoped that they could still be on civil terms after this.
But considering the sensitivity level of the Russian boy who took the way next to her, she highly doubted it.
"Okay." She began. "I'm going to tell you something."
He smiled at her. "Hey what's wrong? You can tell me anything. My heart is yours."
Yeah but my heart isn't. It's been with a lot of people.
"I want to break up."
