05 | sweetheart
Mark Marchesta was ruthless. Aside from being a dealer of coke, he was rumored to be in cahoots with the most dangerous gang in the area.
Of course Grey had never believed in the gang part of the story.
"Well well, look what we have here! Grey Rutherford in the flesh of my little bro's party. Have pigs started to fly?" He sauntered, running a hand through his stubble.
"If there's anything that's flying it was probably your pants a few minutes ago." Grey countered, noticing the bruise, more like a hickey that was punctured near his jaw. And the lipstick mark next to it.
"Feisty today aren't we?" He smirked, rubbing the lipstick mark as if he just discovered it.
"Nope. Just peachy."
He laughed. "I've missed you. I've forgotten what a riot you are! I mean after what you guys did and what Danny saw I never thought you'd willingly come to his parties ever again."
Grey stiffened at that. So he knew.
"You're acting like Daniel only just witnessed it. He's as much to blame."
He snickered, light from the disco ball glinting in his hazel eyes, reflecting mischievousness.
"Oh, I don't know about that."
Grey decided to leave it at that. She smirked, remembering what she originally came to this party for.
"That reminds me, I was just looking for you." Grey lied. It wasn't a total lie though. She did come to get coke from him but seeing Kyle Hastings made her forget what she originally intended to do.
"Oh really sweetheart? What ever for?" He purred, his voice sounding sickeningly sweet.
Grey gagged. She definitely wasn't used to that. It was sickening. "You know what I'm here for." She crossed her arms and huffed, blowing a stray strand of hair away from her face.
He laughed, "of course sweetheart. Didn't I tell you to not get addicted? The Queen of Covington Prep stoned! It's hilarious I assure you."
She sighed. She knew it would come to this. "It's only for a little while. I need it to cope through it. I'm not addicted don't be silly." She chided, the lie tasting bitter in her mouth. She was addicted.
But she wasn't proud of it. She was definitely going to try to stop, but right now there were too many complications in her life that alcohol wouldn't solve.
"Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night. So how much do you need? A gram?"
Grey swallowed. "A bit more would be nice."
He smirked. "Anything for you sweetheart, transfer the money through my dear little bro okay?"
She sighed. Did it have to come to this?
"You got it. Deal?"
"Deal."
"Done."
When she got back, Seth was awake. He was sitting cross legged on the bed, barefoot while scrolling through his phone.
"Hey."
Grey smiled, climbing on to the bed and sitting cross legged opposite to him.
"So," he raised an eyebrow. "Where'd you run off to?"
"Just to get a drink." She waved it off. "Uh-huh. So where's your drink?" Seth questioned, smiling. These were the random times his smile actually reached his beautiful electric blue eyes.
"I drank it and came." She lied. Honestly after meeting Mark she went straight to Daniel to push some money bills onto his hands, saying "give it to your brother." It was better to get it over with.
Seth laughed. "Yeah okay, I'll pretend that's what happened and believe that." Grey said nothing and left it at that.
She sighed.
"Honestly Seth, this party's a bust. Let's just leave. I'll call Lisa and Alex. So please, let's leave."
"Yeah, sure. I fell asleep through most of it anyways."
She smiled, getting off the bed.
Short chapter I know :) but I wanted to stop it at that haha. Leave a comment and all. Love you.
