They nodded and we went our separate ways

I quickly caught up with Bill

'You okay? - sorry of course you're not' I mumbled

'I-I am' he spoke 'i-I mean im not. My brother i-is gone but we can finally l-lay him to rest' he said

I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was going to be alright, but I don't think anyone could do anything to help the way he was feeling right now

We walked back in silence before we arrived at his house

'I guess this is your stop, im always here for you bill remember that. The clown is gone now thanks to you' I said

He smiled 'thank you Y/n'

I gave him one last hug before pulling away

I placed one small kiss on his cheek and stepped back

'I'll see you at school bill' I smiled and went to walk away

'W-wait!' he said

I turned around and he walked closer

'C-can we go somewhere?' he asked

'Sure? If that's what you want' I said

He nodded and we walked in silence

'D-do you think it was my fault?' bill asked

'What do you mean?'

My heart dropped at the thought of him even thinking it was his fault

'Bill of course not! Don't even think that' I said

He sighed and looked down 'he was only a kid y/n'

I grabbed his face making him look at me 'you listen to me okay? He loved you so much. You were his role model, he looked up to you. Georgie would hate it knowing you thought like this, he would want you to be happy. You just defeated the thing that did this to him. You should be proud of yourself, you didn't give up on him bill. You fought for him, you fought for everyone who was involved. You're like a Derry hero or something' I said

'what if it comes back?'

'Then we will do what we just did. I promise you we will get over this' I said and grabbed his hand

I was cut off and he placed his lips on mine

It was a short but sweet kiss before he pulled away

'I-im sorry I didn't do that sooner' he said

I blushed 'what was that for?'

'Y-you see i-I've always liked you. B-but everything that went on I didn't get c-chance to tell you. G-Georgie always liked you too' he said

I blushed 'I like you too'

His face lit up 'You do?'

'Of course, I do. You and me against the world remember?'

He smiled and kissed my cheek 'Always.'
