Frisk's POV:

I look forward and see a village, burnt down houses and rubble cover every inch of it. This must be an old, forgotten place... it looks like one of the old-timey villages there used to be. There're no signal lines and there's barely any electric lights, there's a smashed fire holder on the ground. There's also the chance that it was just a poor place, but I don't like that idea.

I walk over to one of the houses that are still standing and walk inside, the roof's packed in... it doesn't look very sturdy, it could collapse at any time and crush me I imagine. Kneeling down, I see a small teddy bear with the name 'Ruffles' sewn on it... it's wet and the cotton's coming out of it.

Chara's POV:

I walk past one of the trees and see a little wooden shack, it reminds me of something I used to play in with Caleb when we were still living at the orphanage in town. He would pretend that he owned it and that I was a sick traveller in need of a place to stay, then he would pretend to fight me.

"Frisk, are you there?!" I shout again, hanging from the tree branch. I can't find them and I need new batteries soon, my torch'll die out. I grab some stones and start making a trail of how far I've gotten towards the edge of the forest, then I run back home and grab some extra batteries.

Frisk's POV:

I feel rain start to fall from the sky as I walk towards a half broken sign that says 'Ice-cream Parlour, to the right'. I go the way it says to and see lots of stone on the ground, it must have been destroyed. I wonder if the village became like this in the monster war.

As I keep walking around, the rain gets heavier and the sky gets darker... I really hope I'm not stuck in a forest during a storm, that can't be fun or good.

"Chara? Are you here? Are you anywhere in this village?!" I shout, the rain dancing on my cheeks and the ground... you'd think I'm crying, but I think I've cried out everything I can.

I looked at the girl in front of me, she was smiling evilly. She wanted my soul, I thought we could get along. So I said yes.

Chara's POV:

I take the old batteries out and swap them for my new ones after ten minutes of walking around again. We've been looking for an hour now, Asriel retreated home because he was getting really tired... he didn't want to go but I don't want him getting sick in the storm, even though it's Summer it's pretty cold.

Frisk's POV:

I stand in the street and look around, wondering which way to go next... I don't know where I would find Chara if she's not at Ebott. I turn around and look at the horrified face in front of me, Chara's just looking at the buildings as if she's terrified; but what's so scary?

Chara's POV:

"Mommy, where are you going?" I looked up at the lady, I was seven.

"Um, I'm just going to get you some ice-cream... you two wait here for me, alright?" She looked nervous, I couldn't figure out why though; she was always so happy.

"Can I have vanilla please?" Caleb asked, he was five at the time.

"Of course darling." She turned around and walked away, past the ice-cream parlour. I was a pretty smart kid, I knew she wasn't going to come back. I'd thought she loved us, but I guessed I was wrong.

"Frisk, get out of here." I say, grabbing their wrist and pulling them along with me.

"What?" They take their hand back and walk alongside me. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm- I just... I thought I saw something." I sigh, shaking the memory out of my head.

"Wait, Chara... I'm really sorry. I don't know what happened to me, I just suddenly got really bad and I was scared. I know that a sorry won't really cut it but it's all I know to say." They stop moving and look down at the ground.

"It's okay, I'm sorry too."

"What? You shouldn't be sorry! You didn't do anything, you just defended yourself and your family, that's not something to apologize for."

"I- you're hurt. What happened to you?"

"Um, well I fell a few times and sort of got attacked by a bird when I was climbing down a tree."

"A bird?" I can't help but burst out laughing, "seriously?!"

"It was fierce! Don't laugh at me, it was really scary!"

"You could easily defend yourself against monsters but not a bird?!" I laugh.

Frisk's POV:

"Azzy I'm sorry for what I did, I honestly don't know what came over me and I regret it. I would never hurt you intentionally, I wasn't in my right mind and everything just got really scary for me as well as for you." I say, pulling out of the hug he's given me.

"It's okay, I'm just glad that you're safe." He says, smiling. Toriel comes running in and looks at me, her face looks scared and nervous.

"Now I see who I was protecting by keeping you here. Not you... but them!" The goat women shook, she looked as though she was turning crazy. Her soul shattered and she turned to dust, in went the knife and out I went.

"Mychild! You're hurt, let me heal you, please." She says, I can feel her magic asshe does it. I look at myself and see that there're no cuts nor bruisesanymore, however I'm still dirty; I need a shower.
