I rush up the stairs to find Heather fast asleep on his bed. I stay in my spot while I watch Jay stepping imfront of me, walking towards her as he pulls the comforter above her shoulders and places a kiss on her cheek.
"I need to take her back home." I say.
"No. She stays here." I knew this was gonna happen.
I rush out of the room as he follows me. "So now that you know about Heather you are gonna want to take her custody right?" I let the tears fall.
"She is my daughter, Olivia. She must stay with me." He states.
I choke out a laugh. "You must be crazy. I will not let go of my daughter. You may have just found out about her but she has been with me all her life. You can see her if you want but there is no way in hell she is leavinv me."
"You can't decide that. As she is my daughter, she stays with me." And with him saying that, I broke down. I knew he had more power than me. He could take her away from me in a blink of an eye. "T-This is why I never l-let you see her." I say in between sobs.
"Dont you understand. I don't have anyone else. Nobody but her. I swear to god if I wasn't pregnant the night you kicked me out, I would have killed my-" I get cut off by him.
"Enough!" He snaps.
"No! You listen. You gave me no reason to live but knowing she has in me, I had to. So I don't wanna find myself in that state ever again. If she wasn't with me at that poimt of time, I wouldn't be here today. So you really want me gone for good don't you? If Heather isn't with me, I have no reason to live and trust me Jason Knight, I will not hesitate to hurt myself. The choice is yours Mr Jason Knight."
"Don't say that." His voice is laced with anger and pain.
"Oh wait. I forgot. You wouldn't care right? Cause you have a girlfriend and you would want everything your way so you would not care if i'm gone. But you listen to me right know Jason. I have raised Heather with nothing but love so don't think about brainwashing her to having to call aome bitch you bring home her mother. I am the woman who had her in me for 9 months and pushed her out. She is my daughter and I am her mother. Nothing can change that. Keep that in your thick skull." By now the anger has took over me. I run back in the room and carry Heather in my arms and walk down the steps.
"Olivia." He says with that deep voice of his.
"Not another word." I say as I walk to my car. I know he is follwing me.
"Let me drop both of you home." He offers coldly.
"Nobody asked for your fake concern." I snapped.
"That's enough Olivia!" He shouts but not to loud for Heather to wake up."I am sending you home and that is final. Get in the car."
I sigh and get into the passenger seat with Heather on my lap. I hand him the keys and I rest Heather's head against my chest gently.
"Where is your house." I tell him the way to my house and rest my head on the seat slowly.
I fèl someone shaking my shoulder gently and my eyes fly open.
"Hey, we are here." Jay says. He bwnds down and slowly carries Heather from my lap.
"Come on let's go up." He places his hand on my small back as I get out of the car. His hand stayed there as we stepped infront of the house. I check in my purse to find the keys. I keep looking but it's nowhere to be found. Jay seems to know whats happening and rings the doorbell.
Maya opens the door and stops in her place after seeing Jay. She walks aside letting me go in and Jay follows me with Heather in his arms. I walk to my room and switch on the air condition as Jay gently places her on my side of the bed. Not that it matters but after tucking her in, his eyes move to my side table, observing the picture of us there. His gaze shifts to me and I look at Heather.
