I look at Jay infront of me and shoot him a small smile. He bends down and takes my hands in his."Please tell me where Heather is. I swear i'm not going to take her away from you but please let me see her. I faced hell for the past week after finding out I have had a daughter for 5 years and I have missed a lot. First words, first step, everything. Please don't push me away. Do it for Heather." He pleads. I tear up and bit my lip, wanting to just just hug and comfort him. It hurts when I know 5 years back I would have done so without any hesitations. He stares into my eyes and I try to avoid but fail misrably. It brings back memories of us together.
"Okay."I choke out softly. I lead him the way to mom's place.
"Your mom's place?" He asks as we pull up in her driveway.
"Heather stays here when I'm at work." I say.
"Olivia." I breath and look at him. "Follow me home after we get Heather?" He asks. Knowhe wants to 'talk' I nod.
"Thank you." To my shock, he interwines his fingers with mine. "Let's go." he says, not letting my hand go.
He knocks on the doorbell and I hear mom's voice from the other side of the house. Mom opens the door. "Honey wh-" she stops her sentence when she spots Jay beside me. Her eyes basically scan our hands. I try to release myself from his grip but its too strong.
I clear my throat. "M-Mom, we have came to take Heather home." I stutter.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She asks looking at Jay.
"Look Mrs Jensen, I can ex-" He trys to say but mom cuts him off.
"Explain what? That you accused her of cheating on you then kicked her out of your house when she was pregnant? Don't you dare tell me you didn't know anything about the girl. You didn't come looking for your daughter for 5 years and now you have brainwashed Olivia to bring you here? What the hell do you want?"
"Mom, he didn't know about Heather. I didn't tell him." I protest.
"Sure you didn't but he must have knew all this while." She says.
"OKAY MOM. Can we just see Heather know?"
"Mommy?" I hear her sweet voice.
"Hey sweetheart. Look who is here?" I say as her gaze fixes on Jay.
"Hey princess." He says, a smile spreading on both their faces.
"Daddy!" She runs inot his arms after he bends down on his knee, catching her.
"Let's go in." I say to Jay.
"Olivia." Mom says.
"Okay mom. This is your house and he can't come in right? Is that what you where going to say?" She stays silent. "Right. Jay, get in the car. We'll go home." I say walking towards the car.
"You should hold Heather, I'll drive." he says. I nod cause his car is complicated but yet he loves it.
Heather gets on my lap and he starts the car, and starts driving. "So princess, how was your first week of school?" He asks with his eyes fxed on the road.
"It was nice daddy! I made friends!" She says excitedly.
"That's sounds wonderful, sweetheart." He says smiling. I smile at that.
"Oh and daddy?" She asks.
"Hmm."He hums questioningly as he reaches the traffic light.
"Can we watch frozen at home?" She asks him. I kiss her forehead and start giggling, picturing Jay watching frozen. He looks at me and smiles going back to the road.
