"Maya,Drew, this is Jason." I say as they sit on the table with their food. "Jason, my best friends." I smile.

"Liv, we know him. That asshole who left-" Drew starts as Jay cut him off.

"Excuse me, whatever happened that night was a huge misunderstanding and that was between me and my wife so you stay out of it."

"Jason! He was there for me when you weren't okay? So you have no rights to talk to him like that." I snap, thanking god Heather is asleep on the bed.

He pulls my hand and gets up. "Excuse us."He says rudely.

"Okay I have actually lost my patience. If you are gonna talk, you talk to all of us. Why do you wanna talk to her in private? So you can hurt her and threaten her so she tells me to shut up. No." Drew say. My overprotective best friend.

"Drew, it's okay. We'll be back."I say. By now, Drew has probably lost his appetite and sits down. I'm just surprised Maya is eating as if nothing is happening.

Pain shoots throughout my wrist as Jay pulls me to the room and closes the door behind us, gently making sure Heather doesn't wake up. He roughly pushes me against the door and pins his hands on the door on both sides on my face.

"What the hell wrong with you?" I burst out.

"What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you? Is that why you haven't told me about Heather for the past 5 years? Because you have a boyfriend?" He snaps angrily.

"How did the idea of him being my boyfriend come into your head. Jason they are both my best friends? Do you expect me to avoid them when you come back? Jason what I meant downstairs is that when you left me, and I was this close to giving up, both of them were there for me. Of course Drew is gonna get mad at you. Do you expect him to sit down and have a friendly dinner with you this fast? Everything takes time Jay." I say.

"No you don't fucking understand!" He yells.

"You are gonna wake her up."

"It's not about him. It's about you. You are standing up for him. And the next second he step foot in the house, I just became that guy who left his pregnant wife alone to you. You have feelings for him!" He snaps.

"No no no. That's not true. Jay, please don't do this."

"You could have just told me in the first place. I would not have gotten my hopes up." He says. "But-"

"OKAY JUST FUCKING STOP. DREW IS GAY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD." I shout soft enough for only him to her since Heather is asleep.

We stay in silence for a while. "Lets go back to the dining room." I say softly as his grip on me becomes loose. I walk out of the door and sit on the table.

Drew gives me a questioning look and I smile. Jay walks out of the room and sits on the table next to me. He finished what ever that was left on his plate and sat there. Drew and Maya finished a while ago and went to bed.

Jay gets up and gets his phone, walking towards the couch to get his bag.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"I'll take you guys out tomorrow. I should probably head home." He says.

"No it's late, stay." I say. "I want you to spend time with Heather." I walk towards him, grabbing his coat and bag and placing it back on the couch. He follows me.

His hand rests on the hair covering a side of my neck. "Go change and sleep. I'll be on the couch okay?" He looks at me before heading out.

"Wait." I stop him. "You can sleep here."
