"Who was that on the phone?" Janet asked her daughter sternly.
"It was just Bobby inviting me for dinner." Jackie lied. If Jackies mother knew it was Jack Kennedy she would never be able to leave the house again.
"Well you said no didn't you?" Janet asked.
"Well no" Jackie said twiddling her thumbs.
"Jackie you know you have to be help with your sisters party. And you know that you should be training for the Prix De Paris!" Janet's voice was raising.
"I'll leave early and I can get someone from the Kennedy family to come help with it."
"Fine but you should be here by 9:30 No later." Janet said then she exited the room.
"You liar." Lee said entering after their mother could not hear them.
"What?" Jackie asked.
"Unless Bobbys new name is Jack then you lied." Lee said.
"You listened to my conversation?" Jackie said getting angry.
"Maybe. So is the Jack Kennedy helping with my party? Will he come to my party?" Lee asked getting her hopes up.
"I would love to stay and chat but I have to get ready for a dinner."
Jackie went up stairs and sifted through her closet and pulled out a black and white Peter Pan styled dress. She then threw her hair up in a quick bun and slid on some black flats then walked out the door.
