Chapter 5

Salus could feel the shakiness of the explosions going on around him, imperials and Rebels alike being shot only to go down in a fiery inferno, but that was war, people die. He focused on getting into the Star Destroyer. As soon as the Shields went down in order to let more TIE Fighters out, he jumped at the opportunity and landed his X-Wing inside the ship. He then quickly jumped out and used his Blaster Pistol to open fire on the incoming Imperial Troops. "R3 get out and get working on that door, I don't want to fight anymore than I have to." Salus was hoping to not kill to many people, he began shooting back at the Stormtroopers in the Hanger. Meanwhile, on the bridge, Imperius watched the battle ensue, remarking Salus' unique fighting capabilities. "I sense something special about this boy, Commander, contact Stormtrooper commanders and tell them to stay away from that hanger, and prepare to evacuate the ship. His mission here is special, and it will be a chance to see how much of a threat he is." "But sir, if he is special we should destroy him here." "Carry out my orders commander, or you will find out what happened to the last person to disobey me." With a shiver the commander did so and told his men to prepare a shuttle for him. Salus was running out of ideas, of the door didn't close soon, he'd be flooded with Imperial troops, but just as he thought about it, the room became quiet, almost as if they left. "R3, where'd everyone go?" R3 let out some chirps, explaining what happened. "They all left? Wonder why, they nearly had us, oh well, let's move out, we don't have much time left." He ran through the door down the hallway towards an elevator. He punched in the buttons to take him to the bridge and waited, waited for the challenge that lay ahead of him. When the blast door slides open he ran down the hall, only to stop when he saw a figure dressed in armor he had not seen before, he had no weapon but salus felt as though he was more dangerous without one. "You are the one who boarded this ship, and the one who destroyed the Cruiser sent here to locate your Rebels, who are you?" Imperius said to him. "I am Lieutenant Salus, I am here to commandeer this ship." He responded. "Then you will have to go past me." As he finished his sentence he reached behind his back and pulled out a circle with a hilt and a few buttons, he then pressed a button and two crimson red blades ignited from both sides. I knew something was going to go wrong. Salus readied his Blaster and opened fire as Imperius started charging at him with his lightsaber, deflecting every Blaster bolt that crossed his path. Salus jumped out of the way as Imperius got to him. He continued firing at him until he finally got a hit on him, causing Imperius to drop his lightsaber."You are more powerful in the force than I thought, join me and I will teach you in the Dark Side and together, we can teach more and grow an Army of Dark Users and overthrow this empire." Imperius said to Salus. "I will never join the likes of you, you are twisted and want only power, and I don't want that" As Salus said, he began firing at him and Imperius fled to the hanger. Salus' instincts told him to go after him but his Judgement told him to complete the mission, so he picked up the Inquisitors lightsaber and ran for the bridge. When he entered he was met with only Stormtroopers, whom he took out with ease. He then had R3 reprogram the Automated Turbolasers to fire at the TIE Fighters. He then opened a secure line to Commander Keller. "Ma'am, bridge Secure and the shields to the hangers are down, we are ready to take the ship." "Excellent work, I knew I could count on you, the boarding party is on its own way, just wait there." The battle was soon over with a Rebellion Victory. Soon after the battle Commander Lyla Keller boarded the Bridge of the Star Destroyer, now renamed the Golden Blood after her old command ship, which was renamed to LHC-3. "Great Job Lieutenant, you'll make a fine soldier, dismissed." Salus gave her a Salute and went to his new Quarters on the Star Destroyer, and began examining the Lightsaber that once belonged to Imperius.

I will post the next part also today because I have nothing to do.
