Chapter 7

Salus and Lyla got to the bridge just in time to see 3 Imperial Star Destroyers in the View.

"What's going on here?" Lyla said to the whole bridge. "Ma'am, these Star Destroyers appeared with no hostilities, but they will only speak with the person in charge." said the ship's Communications officer.

"Alright, tell them I'm here." After a few moments the commander that used to command the ship Salus took over appears on screen. "Ah how is my ship favoring for you Rebels?"

"Who are you and what is it that you want from us?" Lyla said with a nasty stare at the Commander. "Now, where are my manners, I am Commander Dominic Invictus, but please call me Commander Dom."

"What is it you want, Commander Dom?" Lyla was clearly not going to give him what he wants. "What I want is to meet the man who took over the ship, and he must be alone, unless you want to be destroyed, you have 1 hour to make your decision. Choose wisely."

The transmission ended and the entire bridge was silent. Salus then left the bridge, with Lyla right behind him. "Don't tell me you are thinking of going over there, it's clearly a trap." Lyla said as she grabbed his arm to stop him.

"If I don't, a lot more people will die then if I do, don't worry, I'll be back." He then gave her a quick hug and went into his quarters, grabbed his Blaster and Lightsaber then went to the hanger. He boarded his X-Wing and launched, straight for the Star Destroyer that housed Commander Invictus. When he docked with the ship, he was met with a squad of Stormtroopers who took his blaster but not his Lightsaber as they had no knowledge he had it. Then they took him to the Commanders office aboard the ship. They entered and he saw the man from the Transmission.

"Ah, he arrives, you truly do Value your friends lives." He then waves for the Stormtroopers to leave. "What do you want from me?" Salus said. "I want to give you an option, you can surrender and I'll let your friends go or you and your friends can die."

"And if I just kill you now?" "Then you will never make it back to your friends." Salus had to make a hard decision, either sacrifice himself for his friends, or die with them.

Just as he was about to make his decision 2 Mon Calamari Capital Ships jumped from Hyperspace and opened fire on the Star Destroyers alongside the Golden Blood and all the other Rebel Ships. Salus pulled out his Lightsaber and ignited it. "It ends here Invictus, surrender now."

"You thought it'd be that easy, this is the end of your journey." He pulled out a relic of the Old Republic and Jedi order, the Lightsaber of Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi. He then ignited the blade and the two of them engaged in Lightsaber combat. Salus, knowing very little of his new weapon and abilities l, began to struggle and lose, but the force and the crystal began connecting and communicating with him, allowing him to fight swifter and better.

Salus proceeded to keep his standing before he finally disarmed his opponent and took the Lightsaber. "It's over commander." As he readied to end his enemy he turned the sabers off and put them away. "I will not end your life, but the empire cannot be forgiven, leave, and you can return to your empire, but the rebellion will continue fighting, the empire destroyed peace. They kill innocents and you work for them. Think about it, join us and we can restore the republic, I will leave you to your choice."

Salus left the office, taking out any stormtroopers that stood in his way to the hanger. When he arrived he jumped in his X-Wing and went straight for the Golden Blood. When Salus arrived on the ship he was greeted with Lyla and his squad. "Pay up Jaxxon, you own me 10 credits." Said Kyle holding his hand out. They all laughed and rejoiced with the help of other Rebels and Salus's survival.
