Salus sat in his quarters, just looking at the weapon that was wielded by a dark sider. He decided to do nothing but concentrate on the lightsaber and what Imperius said about him being strong in the force. He lets the power flow through him and become one with him. He then felt something in him, as if he had just opened up a whole different part of him. He then opened his eyes and saw he had lifted the blade off the ground, and it lay floating in midair. As he noticed this the lightsaber fell in the floor again. Whoa, didn't think I could do that. He then stood up and picked up the Lightsaber. He then focused on the Lightsaber again, this time pulling it apart piece by piece, as delicate as he possibly could. He then pulled it apart to the point that the crystals were the only things in the original position of the Sabre. He then felt great pain but in the room, it was almost as if he was feeling pain himself but only not. He then realized it was the crystals calling out in pain, calling out for him to help them, pleading for help, he then let the Force flow through him, into the crystals, freeing them of their pain, essentially healing their wounds. They then went from the Crimson Red to White, then going from White to a Green color. He then reassembled the pieces of the saber, but making it single bladed, and less dark side looking, with a few of his unique touches. When it was back in one picked it up, and ignited the saber to show a green blade, he waved it around, the blade was perfect as was the hilt. He then deactivated it when his communicator came on. "Lieutenant Salus reporting" he said into it. "Lieutenant, the Commander would like to speak with you, she said it was urgent." "Tell her I'm on my way." He then put the saber on his desk and went to the Commanders quarters. As he approached the door he began than began to think. Wonder if she has a secret mission for me again, or maybe she wants to congratulate me again for a good job, well, better not keep her waiting. He then knocked on the door, waiting for a response. "Enter" the commander said from the other side of the door. He entered the room and saluted to the commander. "You called for me ma'am?" "Yes, I wanted to get to know you some more, in order to get to know my men more." "What'd you like to know first Ma'am." "For Starters, you can drop the Ma'am stuff, please, just call me Lyla." "Yes Ma.. I mean Lyla." Lyla let out a small giggle. "So, do your parents know that you are out here fighting a war?" "Well, I never really knew my dad, and my mom died only a year ago, but whenever my mom talked about him, she'd say that he was a special kind of person, he'd never let anyone get harmed in any way." He sounded like a special guy, like someone else I know." "He was. My mom, before she died told me who he was, a Jedi Knight for the Republic. I guess that's where I get my special abilities." "Well, he would be proud of the man you have become, so would your mom." Lyla let off a little smile at Salus, so he did the only thing he could do, and that was smile back. They began getting closer and closer and then made contact with their lips. They only separated when an announcement came on over the loudspeaker. "Will Commander Keller please report to the bridge, I repeat, Commander Keller please report to the bridge." She let out a sigh and leaned back. "Duty calls, we should probably go see what they want." Salus just looked at her "Yeah, we should." They both left Lyla's quarters and went towards the bridge, to see what was so important.
