You were sitting on your friend Monika's bed as you waited for her to get out of the shower. The two of you had planned a great night of staying in and doing absolutely nothing all night. Maybe you would watch some movies, order some pizza if you're feeling adventurous (it was Monika's cheat day for her strict diet after all). You looked around the familiar room, everything was fairly dull and neatly cleaned except for a cork board on her wall. The cork board was full of pictures of Alice, Sakura, Monika and you in various places doing various poses. You smiled at the pictures, remembering the great memories with your friends. You smiled and stood up from the bed, walking over to said pictures and picking up one specific picture, one of you and Monika sitting together on a bridge. It was foggy that day and you, Monika and Sakura were walking on a trail in the woods when you came across an old stone bridge that went over a creek. Sakura suddenly gasped when she saw the bridge, telling you guys to sit on it together as she got a picture. When you and Monika sat down on the bridge, she put her arm around you and brought you closer and you rested your head on her shoulder. Thinking of the memory made you blush. You and Monika had always been physically close but you never thought it meant as much to Monika as it meant to you. To her is was probably just friendly affection, but to you it was the reason your heart beat fast and loudly whenever she was near you.

You didn't realize that the water had stopped running until you felt strong arms snake around you and you jumped, giggling when you realized that it was Monika hugging you from behind. You struggled to get out and in the process, accidentally took off Monika's towel. As soon as you noticed you laughed loudly and turned away, unable to stop giggling. Monika was laughing with you the entire time and put her towel back on, though you knew she wasn't really opposed to being nude in front of you, as a few seconds later she dropped the towel again to change into sweatpants and a loose t shirt. She threw another t shirt at you, you said a thank you and changed shirt, you already had pyjama pants on.

"Are we starting with the horror movie, or the rom com?" You asked as you started pulling dvds out of your bag. She looked over the dvds and decided to start with classic horror movies. You agreed with her choice and the both of you went out to the kitchen, looking for snacks for your movie marathon. The two of you made microwave popcorn, as the last time you made popcorn kernels went everywhere and Monika made you clean up the mess. You also grabbed various types of candy and went over to the couch, taking your seat. Monika took a seat next to you after she put the dvd into the player. She put a bunch of blankets over the both of you and you put the snacks between you two. The movie started with an already scary scene and you curled up in fear, subconsciously getting closer to Monika. You have no idea at what point she put her arm around you but you only noticed when the first jump scare caught you off guard and you hid your face in the crook of her neck. You heard Monika chuckle a bit as she pet your hair to calm your nerves down a bit. It actually helped a bit too much and you realized the position that you were in. You backed away and muttered a sorry and you blushed furiously.

"No, it's okay. If you want to come back I'm okay with that." Monika said in a way that made it seem like she was subtly asking for you to lean on her again. You went back into the position and felt the heat on your face get even worse. You couldn't help the smile on your face, no matter how much you tried to hide it, it was permanently plastered on your face and made you feel like some sort of demented clown, and you were thankful that Monika couldn't see you. You could smell the soap and shampoo from the shower she just took and you loved the smell of her, a mixture of lavender of coconut. You loved the way she smelled and couldn't help but savour it and you blushed when you thought of how weird you were acting. During the rest of the movie you and Monika were cuddled up to each other and at some point her hand moved from your arm to your waist and she was gently rubbing your waist as the movie finished up. Neither of you wanted to get up to put the next movie in the dvd player. You looked up at Monika at the exact same time that she looked down at you. Your gazes lingered on each other for a few seconds, eyes taking in each other. She slowly moved down towards you and you moved up to her, closing your eyes as you did so. You lips connected slowly and years of unspoken feelings and emotions were let free. The kiss got more passionate and heated. Your hands instinctively went up to her hair and you ran your fingers through her golden hair. You felt her hands grip your waist and it drove you insane. You moved into a position where you were straddling her.

When the two of you pulled away, Monika looked at you for a second before saying "Rom com next?"
