You and Michelle had been married for about five years now. You adopted a baby girl the week after you got married, and today was her fifth birthday.

You were busy making a birthday cake for your daughter and Michelle was watching you. The second you put the cake in the oven you felt arms wrap around you.

"I wish I could help you with the cake, but I can't cook anything...." Michelle hid her face in the crook of your neck. You rolled your eyes and pushed her off of you.

"Hey!" Michelle pulled you closer and pressed her lips against your's.

"M-mommies?..." Your daughter, (child name) walking into the kitchen. You pulled away from Michelle.

"Yes?" You said sweetly.

"Do you know what day it is?" (C/n) smiled happily.

"Umm. Sunday?" You said, you were planning a surprise party for your daughter so you didn't want her to figure out what you were doing. She frowned and walked away without saying anything else.

"_____! I know you don't want her to know about the party but you didn't have to be rude!" Michelle punched your arm.

"Yea, yea. Whatever. Just get her out of the house for a few hours. Take her shopping or something." You rolled your eyes and shoved her.

"Ok!" Michelle happily skipped off to go fetch your daughter. After an hour or so, everything was set up and all of (c/n)'s friends and family were gathered in the living room. You heard Michelle and your daughter walking up to the door.

"Everyone hide!" You said to the kids and they all hid behind the couch and behind the house plants. The door opened and Michelle and (c/n) walked in. (C/n) looked around and saw the cake and other snacks on the table.

"What's all this?" (C/n) said, looking at the balloons and streamers.

"SURPRISE!!!" All of your daughter's friends yelled as they jumped out. (C/n) grinned and happily hugged all of her friends. Michelle walked over to you and hugged you.

"I love you so much!" Michelle dug her head into the crook of your neck.

"I love you too!" You smiled warmly. After (c/n) talked to her friends for a while, you cut the cake. After everyone was done with cakes they all played party games. One by one, the kids parents came to pick them up.

"Mom? Mommy? Why didn't Fayth come to my party?" (C/n) asked. You didn't have the heart to tell her it was because her parents were homophobic.

"Umm. Because...." You tried to come up with something but Michelle beat you to it.

"Because she caught a cold." Michelle interrupted. You nodded.

Everything was cleaned up and (c/n) was fast asleep in her bedroom, wearing the new pyjamas you had bought her, cuddled up next to her new teddy bear.

You and Michelle were standing in the kitchen when you suddenly kissed her. She quickly kissed back, which after a bit turned into a make out session. (C/n) had walked into the kitchen late at night to get a glass of water, and left with deep emotional wounds.
