Its neither too early for Halloween nor the winter holidays. Fight me. Also sorry for the implied ship. Like it's really implied. Like if you look at it in right light.
Fem!Russia X readerYou loved spending the holidays with Anya's family, trust me, you did. However she just happens to have her entire family living in the most north city in Russia. Which was quite clearly great when it came to cold weather. It's not like you couldn't go outside without looking like a marshmallow or anything like that. You actually looked like a toddler with over protective parents when the first snow arrives. Though Anya was completely fine with her coat and mittens. You would call her crazy through chattering teeth and she walked outside and said it was warm for this time of year. This was one of those times. See, it was your idea to get a dog. You really wanted one for when you get home from work first and have to wait two to four hours for Anya to come home. But since you kept insisting to get a dog, Anya told you that you would have to take care of it, feed it, bring it on walks, etc. You didn't think much of this agreement at the time so you agreed, but not you were completely freezing as Patches was practically dragging you across the sidewalk, if you could even call it that anymore, the snow had completely covered everything. Anya had decided to join you so she could see you struggle to survive the Russian winter.
"You know, maybe you could get one of your brothers to do this next time." You suggested. You tried your hardest to talk clearly though the shivering probably made everything you said impossible to understand. Though Anya somehow knew exactly what you said. You were really not having the greatest of times here. Patches was pulling you by his leach but you could barely keep your footing in this snow as it is. Not to mention you didn't even have good boots for snow. You only brought your cute boots because you thought you wouldn't been going outside that often.
"But then I'd miss all of this fun." She said as she towered over you. Her fairly large feet worked as well as snow shoes as you and your average height and foot size was a curse and you kept getting your foot stuck in deep piles of snow. You sighed loudly as she giggled at you. She wrapped an arm around you and leaned against you slightly. You leaned up to her, trying to get as warm as possible. You honestly couldn't wait until you got back to her house. You were a tense, shivering mess on the walk back.
"That took a while." Anya's younger brother said in his monotone voice and walked off into another room as soon as you entered the house, probably dragging in a shit ton of snow along with you. Anya's older brother followed him yelling his name. You reluctantly took off your boots and coat, darting into the room you and Anya were correctly sharing. You searched for the warmed sweater that you had and eventually just gave up and stole one of Anya's sweaters. It was fairly large on you, thought it was quite loose on Anya, too. You walked back out to see Anya sitting by the wood fireplace reading a book that you had suggested to her a long time ago. You don't blame her for not reading until now, she had a lot of work to do but she's on vacation now, plus she tends to start books and never finish them. So it's not like she's ever going to finish that book.
She looked up and noticed you and smiled at you, silently inviting you to come sit with her. You walked over at sat next to her. The two of you slowly cuddled up to each other and spent hours there just sitting in each other's arms. With Anya's soft snoring and the crackling of the fire, you were starting to fall asleep, too. The fire was slowly dying, evident from the light slowly growing dimmer. You thought about putting more wood to the fire but you hadn't seen either of Anya's brothers since they walked off together so they were probably asleep, which meant that there would be no one to watch the fire. You let the fire die out and watched as darkness spread throughout the house. You fell asleep pretty quickly and surprising you weren't cold.
You woke up to the smell of break fast cooking. Anya was gone but she had been replaced by a huge blanket wrapped around you. You kept the blanket around you and walked into the kitchen. You sat down across from Anya's brothers, who were talking with each other quietly, clearly not wanting you to hear. Every so often one of them would try to hide a laugh, which made you assume they were talking about you. Anya sat down next to you, putter a plate in front of herself and you. You waited until her brothers were away getting their food to question her. "Were they always this close?" You asked. They rarely did anything together last year and now they wouldn't leave each other for a minute. Anya shrugged, giving you the impression that she hadn't noticed a difference. You shrugged back, deciding to drop the subject.
You looked down at the breakfast she had made, it was kind of fancy, well as fancy as breakfasts can get. A lot better than the microwaveable waffles you insist that the two of you eat before work to save time in the morning. Anya kept telling you that it was unhealthy to eat that kind of stuff for breakfast everyday and she kept offering to cook for you, to which you would deny due to lack of time. But as soon as you tasted the breakfast she had made you realized that you would have to reconsider. You loved it when wen you and Anya were on vacation. You could enjoy the things you're forced to neglect in your daily life because of work. But it's still too damn cold.
A/n: fuck I wrote this last night but didn't post it till math class. I actually hate math so much but I'm decent at it. At least I'm not failing yet.
Also possible part two with holiday festivities when the holidays actually come.
