Subtle Realization

As you lay there on the small bed, snuggled up to Jungkook, you took the time to think about how you felt about the boy

You've never really liked any of his girlfriends. In your opinion, they were too sassy, clingy, and two-faced.

Behind his back, they would often push you around, telling you to stay away from Jungkook.

Luckily, the boys were always there, mostly Jin.

Jungkook is very attractive and kind, you basically knew everything about him, you're his best-friend after all.

You still felt very awkward about what happened in the broom closet and how he acted there. Was he jealous? Does he like me? Do I like him? I do love him as my best friend though.

"Y/N?" He spoke suddenly, starting you.

You snapped out of your thoughts, listening to him.

"About what happened in the closet, it's nothing. Don't worry about it okay?" He said quietly.

"If you think I like you, then that's not how I feel." He said nervously.

You slightly tensed, feeling hurt.

"You're just a friend to me."

"I don't feel that way about you, please don't misunderstand."

You bit your lip and sighed further into him so that he wouldn't be able to see your face.

You felt hurt, for some reason, really hurt. He only sees you as a friend, and that's when you knew that you liked the boy.

You liked Jungkook.....

The boy who always stood by your side, was your shoulder to cry on , your study and gaming buddy. You've been friends for about forever.

Of course you would be bound to some what feel attracted to the boy. It still hurt though, it really did.

You really liked him......

But he didn't feel the same.

"Misunderstand? Misunderstand what exactly?" You cleared your throat and spoke, hoping that you didn't sound hurt.

He went still and was quiet for a few good minutes, giving you time to compose yourself.

"That's a relief." He said with a sigh.

"It would never work out, for both of us." He continued.

"Why not?" You said softly and a bit sadly.

"Because I don't see you as a real woman, you know... My type. Someone I'd actually date." He said quickly.

You went rigid and still for a moment....

"Yeah, I don't see you that way either." You replied, your voice cracking....

It just hurt so much.....
Why did it have to be Jungkook?
