You heard him gulp and smack his lips, trying to ease his nervousness. He took two deeps breaths and released you from his embrace.

You looked up to see the corners of his plump lips tilt upwards with a tight and somewhat forced smile.

"It's because I....love my friends and I want to protect their smiles." You heard him say to you softly.

He looked down at his lap, looking somewhat distraught. His face crumpled slightly, as if he wanted to say something urgently but couldn't bring himself to do it.

You placed a hand on his hand that was clenched tightly into a fist and spoke softly to him.

"Jin-ah... What's wrong?"

He slowly looked up at you, his eyes looked lost, and cloudy.

"It's nothing." He dismissed you, and smiled tightly.

You narrowed your eyes at him, not believing a single word he had said.

"You can tell me what's wrong Jin." You said slowly.

His eyes met your own, and you were astonished.

His bright chocolate brown eyes filled with kindness and ever brimming joy was.....cloudy.

He looked broken, tired, upset, angry and pained.

He had so many conflicting emotions going through his eyes.

He reminded you of something....

"Y/N..." He started a conversation with you slowly.

"Would you...."

"Hate me and avoid me if I told you something?" He said, his voice cracking mid way as he gulped.

You shook your head, you could never hate him. He was one of your closest friends, he was always in control of his actions and emotions.

He was fun to be with, he always put others before himself and he cared for the people around him.

He was sweet and perfect.

"I like you... Y/N." He spoke, loud and clear avoiding your gaze.

Your eyes drastically widened and you subconsciously backed away from him, still trying to process the information that you had just received.

He liked you.......

Jin liked you, and he never said anything about it until now.

He liked you and you spouted out how much you loved his friend Jungkook.

He comforted you and held in his pain. The pain of an unrequited love....

He reached out for you, his hands shaking...
