All Through the Town

Summer was here. I was hoping to spend every waking hour with my gorgeous boyfriends, but then reality came to bite me in the arse. They were going to college and had to get jobs to help pay for it. Yep, both of them were going to be working all summer long. Boredom here I come. At least that is what I thought was going to happen.

Mr. Bauman gave me a key to the place and the code to get in the house, said something vague about not even bothering anymore and then suggested we stay out of the security cameras next time. Oh, whoops! The boys teamed up with my folks for my birthday and got me a new phone. It was really fun to play with. They put their schedules in my calendar so I would know when they were off, which mostly consisted of weekends and holidays.

My mom had me doing most of the chores around the house while she was at work. I didn't really mind that much, especially if it put her in a good enough mood to let me go out when I was done. I basically cleaned my house, went over to the twins' place, hung out with them until late, and then maybe or maybe not went home to sleep. If I stayed over, there was rarely any sleeping going on.

I was worried that they were starting to get bored with the same old sex all the time though. That's when I made the mistake of opening my mouth. I should have been content with boring. I should have let it go and enjoyed my boys as much as possible that summer without complaints. But I didn't. As we sat lounging around the pool in their backyard, enjoying the heat of the evening and the cold drink their mom had made...

"I'm bored. Do you want to go and do something fun?" Two sets of eyebrows raised and two sets of eyes filled with glee. I instantly regretted saying anything. That look did not bode well for me.

"Sure babe, we were just thinking it might be fun to get out and about." Gabe said slyly. Rafe nodded in agreement with a grin. I looked uneasily back and forth between them.

"Yeah? Where were you thinking?" I asked them.

"I wanted to go to beach. What do you say?" Rafe mentioned. I smiled and nodded, then frowned as I thought about it. He wanted to go to the beach with me? That was sweet, but it would have to wait for a weekend and then it would be packed! I mentioned this and just barely caught a look passing between the boys.

"It's fine, we can go in the afternoon tomorrow. Both of us are off by four, so how about dinner from the boardwalk fish fry?" Rafe suggested. They leaned forward to await my reply.

"Oh! Yeah that sounds good. Should I meet you there then?" I smiled happily. They both nodded. I relaxed in my lounger. It made sense for me to go by myself since it was closer to where they worked if they went straight to the beach. We would have more time together that way. I could probably get my sister to drop me off at the old pier.

Little did I know what these two had in store. We met up shortly after four at the junction where the beach and the pier met. The daytime traffic was slowing down, and many people were leaving at the end of the day to go home for dinner. We went up to the Beachside Fry restaurant on the boardwalk and ordered ourselves three fish and chips dinners.

They were ready pretty quickly and the lady gave us lots of napkins with our forks. I grabbed a container of ketchup and tartar sauce to go with the lemon that comes with. We took our take out containers down to the sand and the boys stretched out the big comforter they had brought for us to sit on.

The food was greasy and delicious; the outside of the fish crispy and the inside melt-in-your-mouth. I dipped some of my chips in the ketchup and when they were gone I sighed in contentment as I laid back on the blanket, full. The boys were both done too and their containers were carefully set aside.

"This was perfect. Thanks guys." I murmured to them as we lay listening to the waves.

"Almost perfect." Gabe said, which made my brows furrow.
