Lalisa Manoban
Furiously, I put together a bunch of clothes before rushing out to find Jennie. Anything wrong could go down.
My footsteps weren't soft, they were just thumping against the hard concrete.
My mind had all these sorts of thoughts, what if Jennie gets taken away?
What if she won't return?
My pace got faster and I didn't care about anything else.
People might be judging me again. Hearing my name as people point fingers at me was so common to me now.
I slowed down a bit as I saw people running towards the opposite direction.
They had horrified looks on their faces, like they saw something terrifying.
Blood, heavy breathing and screams. All in one scenario.
My heart felt a little pinch, what's happening?
I stopped my footsteps and looked around trying to observe the issue.
"Excuse me sir?" I stopped a middle aged man, around his thirties.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" I blinked a few times, trying to comprehend the meaning.
"Wh-what?"
"Look, I don't have time-" he stopped his sentence as his daughter tugged his shirt.
I smiled at her and bowed. I watched them disappear from my vision.
After a few minutes, there was no one in sight.
Something inside me told me it was Jennie. She's behind all this.
That didn't scare me at all.
I continued walking to the hospital.
After a while I was finally inside the hospital. My eyes immediately landed on the floor. Blood, again.
But that wasn't the only surprising thing, the couches were flipped over and out of their place.
The pictures in the hallway were broken and tilted against the wall.
The doors had prints of hands, bloody hands.
My eyes widened, Jennie is around here somewhere.
"Jennie!" I started calling out her name.
I checked every room, she was no where to be found.
"JENNIE? JENNIE!" My throat got dry after a couple of minutes.
I sat down on the floor, panting.
My ears heard a loud smash from the rooftop. My feet quickly got up on their own and forced me to go.
Not gonna lie, I was tired.
Running on the stairs, panting and breathing heavily.
I sighed out of relief once I reached the door of the roof.
Slowly twisting it, I entered.
My heart beat increased by a thousand, sweat trickled down my forehead.
My legs got weak and I held on to the wall.
Let me tell you,
The sight was not appealing.
