taehyung sat at the park under the rain, minutes after jimin's death had been confirmed by the doctors. tears mixed up with the water that drenched him yet for some reason, he didn't feel cold. just numbness.
he heard a sound out of nowhere, startling him. it was loud enough to be heard over the heavy rainfall making him scared. he let out a loud sob as he wiped away the tears in his eyes to clearly see what was around him. he saw nothing unusual, however. he got upset at the fact that he couldn't mourn properly with the sound ringing around him. he already lost his other half, the world really wanted him to suffer.
the sound became louder and more clear but he couldn't find the source of it. the beeping began to become unbearable as he held his palm tightly against his ears and shut his eyes. falling down on his side onto the bench, he found himself loosing consciousness before he blacked out.

taehyung woke up in a dimly lit room, the tv turned on infront of him. the beeping was still heard clearly and taehyung rubbed his eyes and reached his hand out for the phone laying on the small coffee table across from him. he turned off the notifications he had been getting and checked the time to see that it was almost 5am.
he put the phone back down and turned around to face upwards while trying to process what all was happening. last time he checked, he was getting soaked in the rain at the park. then it began to become clear. his eyes widened as he realized he had been lying down on someone's lap this whole time. he couldn't see the person's face properly as the person laid their head on the headrest of the sofa.
taehyung sat up and teared up instantly as he saw the boy who was fast asleep, "jimin," he whispered out. he couldn't help but to attack the sleeping boy with a hug, finally able to differentiate his dreams from the reality. "w-what?" jimin jumped up, still half asleep. jimin saw his lover entangling him in a big hug, which was common for him, but he wondered why taehyung would be like that so early in the morning when he's usually out cold at this time.
"why? what's wrong?" jimin said as he hugged the younger back before running his fingers through his hair. "did you get a nightmare?" jimin asked as he recalled how tired taehyung was last night that he fell asleep in between the movie they both were watching. it seemed to be the only reason why taehyung would wake up so early when they both had barely been getting sleep due to being trainees.
taehyung nodded while he continued to hug jimin as if he'd lose him the moment he pulls away. "want to tell me what happened?" jimin asks as he pecked the top of taehyung's head to calm him down.
as taehyung blubbered out everything, jimin couldn't help but to laugh, "this is why you should stop watching so many movies." "it's not funny!" taehyung slightly pouted.
"okay, okay, i'm sorry. but it was all just a dream, right?" jimin reassured and cupped taehyung's face. jimin leaned in and gave a slow and comforting kiss to him that taehyung had become addicted to, "don't worry. i'm here with you—"
"and i'm here with you," taehyung completed the sentence.
