Riley Ann POV

Michelle was already at the bakery. She had placed the order and it was only going to take an hour or hour and a half to make. After waiting for the cake, I rush home and call Charlie, who was coming out of court. "Baby, how are you?" 2 Hours Later

I arrived at the restaurant and handed the cake to the manager so that he could bring it out later after we ate. It was already 7 and I could see my parents greeting Charlie and then they walked over to my table. We all hugged and Charlie kissed my lips. I sat down and we looked at the menu. After we ordered the family dinner, which consisted of duck, chicken lo mein, orange chicken, pot stickers, mushrooms and chicken, beef with broccoli, sesame chicken, general tso, chicken egg rolls, and a large bowl of wonton soup. As Charlie was pouring the soup into four bowls, my mother says, "How's everything at court, Charlie? Having a lot of cases?" Charlie looked up and said, "Yes, ma'am. I've had five cases this week and one of them will lead to a big paycheck for us." My mother smiled and said, "That's wonderful. We're glad that you and Riley are doing great." I held Charlie's hand and rested upon his massive arm. "So Riley, how's work going for you?" My father asked me. "It's great, dad. I had a day off today but I did some research for Charlie. I should've been a private investigator." I chuckled. "I actually have a friend who does private investigative work and is looking for a partner. You have your license to be a private investigator since you have your bachelor's degree plus you also have your credential of a paralegal. You can ride along with him. Mom and Dad, I love you both as well and I can't wait for you guys and Charlie to share the same happiness that I'm going to bestow to you." I gestured to the manager to bring out the cake. "Close your eyes, everyone," I announced. Charlie and my parents closed their eyes and the table was cleared and the cake was placed. It had a side-by-side of pink and blue fondant with pink and blue shoes. On the cake, it read, "He or She? Can't wait to see!" I sigh happily and allowed everyone to open their eyes. At first, they were confused and finally, Charlie said, "You're pregnant?" I shake my head happily and my mother and father screamed. "Oh, Lord! My baby is having a baby! I'm so happy!" I love you so so much!" The crowd from the restaurant cheered and the manager congratulated me. Mom and Dad hugged me and said, "Baby, when are you due?" I sighed and said, "I have an appointment tomorrow. I'll keep you informed." My mother wiped her tears and said, "We'll get you registered at Babies-R-Us. I can't wait to spoil your children." Dad began cutting the cake and handing the pieces out. After we finished our dessert, we packaged the cake up and left for home.
