Charlie POV
I walked towards the woods, looking for any signs of life. I didn't see anything but trees, broken branches,  and squirrels running around. I then feel my phone vibrate and I look to see who it was. It was Franklin. He says to me that there police officers around the area and they saw Vince coming out of a restaurant with takeout. After they called him, he dropped his food and ran. Police were unable to catch him. He told me to be on the lookout. I scan the woods and I continue to hear any noise. Suddenly, I heard muffled screams and branches snapping. I run further into the woods and see a small shack. I then see a man with a ripped shirt and bloody face holding someone. It was Riley! Impulsively, I yell, "RILEY!!"

Riley POV

"RILEY!!" Vince and I turn to see who yelled. It was Charlie! Thank God, he heard my plea. Vince grunts in annoyance and tried to pull out his weapon. Still chained, I wrap my bound hands around Vince's neck and begin to choke him. With all my strength, I jump onto Vince's back and choke him with all my might. Charlie runs up, pointing the rifle. "Shoot this son-of-a-bitch, Charlie!" I scream. I let him go so Charlie can have a good shot but that was a mistake. Vince lunged at Charlie instead of me and Charlie flung his rifle at me. I quickly grab it. Charlie was able to pull the Beretta from his waistband. Both Charlie and I pointed the weapons at him. Vince was surrounded. He chuckled and said, "No matter what happens, I will ALWAYS be there. I will watch your every move, know your schedule, and I will even follow your child to school. You will never escape me!" Charlie and I simply look at each other. There was no fucking way this asshole will be alive to follow my child. A child that Charlie and I created. Charlie circled around Vince to make his way to me, still pointing the gun at him. "You want me? Come and get me, bitch." I sneered. Vince ran towards me, snarling like an aggressive animal. Both Charlie and I riddled his body with bullets. Vince fell to the ground, struggling to breathe. Charlie put one bullet into his head. With that, Vince Lee was dead. Something that should've been done 3 years ago. Charlie and I hug each other and give each other a kiss. We hear sirens and police officers yelling at us to drop our weapons. I don't regret killing him. Neither did Charlie. As Officer Franklin escorted us, there was a stretcher carrying Vince's dead body. Charlie and I looked at each other. I was found and saved by my husband; a man that I love with all my heart.
