On Saturday I decide to stay inside for most of the day and not meet anyone. My brother was out with his girlfriend and my mum was meeting some friends in town so I had the house to myself.

I start blasting out All Time Low and dancing around in my sweats and my hair in a big knot on the top of my head.  After about half an hour the doorbell interrupts my music.

Panicking, I turn off the radio and run downstairs. I haven’t got a bit of make-up on so the blemishes on my skin are clearly visible, and to be quite honest I’m dressed like a hobo.

I open the door to see Luke leaning confidently on the porch. When I open the door he walks straight past me and kicks his shoes off, before sitting on the couch.

I stand there in shock at his actions.

“Luke what the hell are you doing here,”

“We’re friends right? And friends hang out with eachother, don’t they?” Slightly stunned, I feebly nod and sit down next to him, staring into space.

“Do you want to go to the beach?” he breaks the silence.

“What, now?”

“Yeah,”

“No!”

“Why?”

“I-I have stuff to do,”

“What, more crap dancing?”

“H-How did you…”

“Your curtains are drawn babe,”

I cringe and look down.

“Go get your swim stuff,”

“Why are you ordering me around?”

“You know you want to,”

Groaning, I stand up and stomp upstairs. Angrily, I grab a simple black and white bikini and a towel. Quickly, I get changed and put on some make-up before fixing my hair. When I get downstairs, Luke is waiting by the door, holding it open. Without acknowledging him, I stomp past him and start walking.

The beach is only a few minutes away, so we get there quickly enough. We find a deserted area and lay our towels down. I silently sit down, put my earphones in and close my eyes.

After a few minutes, I am suddenly disturbed by ice cold water drenching my body and towel.

“Luke! You’re gonna break my phone! Flip!” I yell, standing up sorting my stuff out.

“Lily, you can’t come to the beach and just lie on the towel. Come swimming,”

“Oh for God’s sake Luke! Fine!” I yell, whipping my clothes off revealing my bikini. Usually I would be insecure about showing a boy my body, but I was in such a mood now I didn’t even process it. I could feel Luke’s eyes wandering up and down me and it gave me goosebumps.

“Luke stop staring you pervert,”

“S-sorry,” He mumbles biting his lip. Suddenly I feel a bit bad for him, maybe I should stop being so harsh on him.

Quickly he unbuckles his shorts and pulls them off, then slowly lifts up his tshirt, revealing his toned stomach and v-lines. I stood there with my jaw open, unable to divert my eyes.

“Now you’re the pervert,” he grins. Suddenly I feel his shadow over me, and before I have time to react, his long arms have scooped me up and he is carrying me to the water.

“Luke seriously let me down I hate the sea,” I angrily state.

“Don’t worry babe I got ya,” He smiles, sending the butterflies in my stomach crazy. The cute moment is quickly interrupted by freezing water engulfing me and his arms suddenly leave my body. I am an alright swimmer so luckily I can stay up, although I can’t have looked very graceful.

“Lily calm down!” Luke laughs at me,

“Don’t tell me to calm down you dick!” I reply, a smile tugging at my mouth.

Luke’s hair has flattened on his head, so he keeps running his fingers through it, slowly making his way towards me.

“It’s ok Lily, I’m got you, remember?” He smirks,

“Luke please stop with the smirk,”

“You are so fucking stubborn,” He mumbles into my ear, very close to me now. His arms find my waist and he wraps me up, slightly warming my freezing stomach.

“L-Luke,”

“Shut up,” He grins and leans his face into to kiss me. The kiss is slower than last time, and less fierce. It’s sweet but passionate.

He pulls away, grinning madly.

“Come on let’s get back, need to get ready for tonight,”.
