After school I get home and quickly get changed and fix my hair and makeup. I then get a bit of revision done and before I know it there is a knock on the door. I open it to see Luke waiting for me. I grab my phone and leave the house.

I climb into the back and end up sitting in between Luke and Michael, with Ashton and Calum in the front.

“Where are we going?” I ask them.

“The pizza place in the square,” Michael answers.

Although Calum hasn’t spoken since I got in the car, the atmosphere is very tense so I assume they were arguing about it before they picked me up.

“Look guys if you don’t want me here then-”

“We do want you here Lily,” Luke interrupts.

“Some people just won’t grow up,” Michael chips in.

“Oh fuck off,” says an exasperated Calum from the front.

Ashton, desperately trying to lighten the mood, puts on the radio, which saves the awkward silence. Luke and Michael start talking and I occasionally pitch in, while Calum and Ashton are quietly arguing.

When we finally arrive at the pizza place we slide into a booth, Calum and Ashton on one side again and me on the end next to Luke, with Michael on his other side. The tension decrease now we are in a busy public place.

“What are you getting?” Luke leans over to me.

“Hawaiian,”

“I’ve never understood why you would put fruit on a pizza,” Luke groans.

“It’s the best bit!” I protest.

“Whatever,” He rolls his eyes.

“Guys did you see the new movie with Mila Kunis in?” Ashton asks.

“Fuck yes, she is so fucking hot!” Michael shouts.

“Stop swearing,” I tell him off.

“Fuck off,” He sticks his tongue out at me.

“Put that tongues away Clifford,” Luke punches him.

Michael waggles his tongue dramatically at me.

“Lily can’t be influenced by you, she is innocent,” Luke protectively wraps his arms around be, but I shrug him off, aware of Calum shooting daggers at us.

Calum scoffs from opposite us “Innocent,” He mutters.

“Uncalled for,” Ashton glares at him.

I pretend not to notice and keep talking to Luke.

The pizzas come and we all dig in. Halfway through, Michael stands up.

“I need to go to the toilet,” He says in a very suspicious voice.

“Me too!” Luke and Ashton say in unison trying not to laugh. I don’t realise what they are doing until I realise I am left alone with Calum.

“They did this on purpose didn’t they,” I chuckle, thinking aloud.

“Mmph,” Calum shrugs, and I stare at him in shock as I hadn’t realised that I had been speaking aloud.

“Calum you have um, something there,” I gesture to my chin. Calum looks up and hurriedly wipes the tomato sauce off his face with the back of his hand.

“Thanks,” He mumbles.

“Calum I am really sorry, you know that right?” I attempt to reason with him.
