The King of Walderstone sat quietly, watching the sobbing youngster with his stern eyes. The boy belonged to the same colony where most of the army's youth had been recruited from past three years.

The men coming from that little part of his nation had iron hearts and were unbeatable in strength. The greatest contribution was from them in the War. People had started calling it the place where lions lived. But considering what was happening currently, it had became the village of murders.

He couldn't keep his future army, future warriors already dying because of that mysterious creature. He needed to keep the population believing in their King and he had given much attention to it already.

But when the search team didn't find anything, what was left to do. This poor boy wanted to earn the prize, and do the welfare of his colony by giving information about that creature, but instead lost his brother.

Too much cost.

The King sighed heavily. His heart couldn't imagine the terror, the anger, the pain this boy must be feeling. Soon, many families would feel same and he won't be able to silence them by compensating with money and functions.

How even after winning such a great war against Kingdom of Burnsley, he wasn't happy? The King thought to himself that maybe, he was really a good King. How this worry was increasing by each thought that this war was won by those Warriors. This nation was saved from enemies because of them and now that they are not safe at their homes because of an unwanted creature, he needed to work on it.

"I am extremely heartbroken with such news, Dear Erasmus. I recognize you. The bravery and charisma on your face. You belong to the place I have gotten my best Warriors from. Your elder brother, Evos was precious. I am terribly disheartened that when my whole nation is celebrating the victory, my lions' dens are filled with mourns and emptiness."

Logan's eyebrows raised as he tried hard to not show his surprise at the King's words. Who knew that Kings could be kind too? Such empathy was hard to found in today's world. He looked around carefully and saw Lord Commandant stepping ahead from beside him, and followed his son Nathaniel.

Logan sighed mentally. That boy really wanted to be like his father. But Lord Commandant was too much high from him. Nathaniel was sweet at heart but not strong enough. Where Lord Commandant was rough. Savage.

He wished Rodwin was here to see the progress on King's mind. He was very fond of the man who ruled this nation in such a systematic way. Rodwin had a way in having strong opinions. He knew that King won't afford to upset half of his army by not caring about the murders. Logan smiled to himself.

"Your Majesty. He, Erasmus, knows what it looks like," mentioned Nathaniel's father.

The King's eyes widened and he immediately looked back at the boy whose eyes were glistening with pain.

"Do you, dear?"

Erasmus nodded, blinking and letting new tears fall. "I saw it, walking, running after us, finding us to kill, growling at us to scare our souls," his mind took him to the last night, in that forest, on that tree. Erasmus stared at the King, "I saw it waving his big arm and catching my brother off guard. I saw it throwing Evos on the ground. It walked over him, ripping his stomach. Pulling out his veins, his organs, my brother kept screaming."

Nathaniel gulped while feeling goosebumps rising on his skin yet he could feel the warmth of the sharp knife in his boots. His mind relaxed immediately. He knew how to save himself. He needed to be eveready for such beast.

The King swallowed, "How did he look like?"

Erasmus stared far at the floor, "Like death. I could see it in my brother's eyes. When he had stared up at the sky as if convincing himself that he will be going closer to our parents," his voice cracked and he shook his head, "he was a beast. Canines and claws."
