Hey, guys!

Hope, you all enjoyed the Epilogue.

Just like I do it after any of my book ends, I wanted share some thoughts.

The very idea of this book came to me in 2016. That was the year I joined Wattpad in January. I found the app through a google search only. I was looking for free werewolf stories. So, four-five months were spent continuously reading all the Werewolf stories.

And slowly, I was so into them, I realized through the comments on those books how the readers have became so advanced and forward about the Werewolf content. Any werewolf story I opened, I found that the readers were talking about mates, second mates, the heat, werewolf wars with Vampires/Rogues and so many things. They were able to demand the further storylines. The Werewolf mythology was only going up. I was honestly getting bored of seeing everyone reading that advanced Werewolf content. That was just a mood. Because who doesn't love new enhanced concepts. I tried to make that happen by making Misty.

But that time in that year, I was missing the old classic werewolf movie vibe.

Thus, I decided that I would write a book where the first half of the book would only be dealing with——"What is a Werewolf?" and second half would go with —"Who is the Werewolf?"

That's all I wanted. I remember only having this idea plus the prologue in my mind. The rest of the story, I had nothing planned that time. Slowly, I started thinking of a War and soldiers, and slowly the little back story of Sherfield on which the very story was based came to mind.

I don't know how will you take this that even after chapter-50, I myself didn't know whom I will make the Werewolf. I was actually hesitating to make it Rodwin. Because it could have been called cliché. That was my fear and then, slowly, the actual ending started forming in my mind.

I really wanted to make a refreshing nostalgic kind of plot where readers won't discuss about the mate-thing, sharp smelling or hearing senses, heat and all that usually happens when you read any today's Werewolf book. Neither I wanted us all to focus much on love angles. I wanted the soldier part to be our main focus. Apart from that, friendship and the bond with parents are my thing. It's always fun to write parent-child scenes whether positive or negative one.

So, yeah, it was my first try on a Mystery book. I know it isn't perfect. But I really enjoyed making it.

I have a thing for medieval period tales. That was another reason for writing this one.

There had been many times when I couldn't update it for months and months. Barely two-three readers would message me about updating it. Writing other books was the only reason to not give this one much attention. But slowly, I tried. And here we are.

I thank all of those readers who waited for months with the hope that I would get back to this one some day. It took me four years to complete it and I can understand how much gap we had in between the updates for which I am very apologetic.

In the middle of story, I had many different ideas of the ending. Like the one with Rodwin blaming Samara for distracting him and getting his father killed. And he would surely go to kill Lord Commandant like he does. Not like a soldier. But as a Werewolf. The trauma, the anger would make him transform and kill the man. And that's how everyone would know who was the beast all this time. But it was a simple one and took me to a dead end. Because being caught red-handed Rodwin would have been executed anyhow, sooner or later.
