Believe it or not, last chapter you read is the last one of part I.
What? You are mad at me for ending it like this? Sure sure... you wanted Pheobe and Kevin to end up together and yada yada yada. I mean, what kind of story is this where people find true love only to say goodbye? I do remind you that this is only part I, and, as you probably realized (if you paid attention to the story), Kevin is not someone who would just give up on everything.
Another thing I want to tell you, is that I have no idea when I'm going to upload part II. Only a few chapters have been outlined on my computer, and time is not my friend when it comes to continuing this.
Plus, I want to give them a decent edit before going public, to avoid the chaos I created with all the changes I made to part I while it was already online. This doesn't mean I'm going to drop it, but, I'll take a break.

Anyway... since you are dying to know....
Sneak Peak Part II:
"Let's bet on it. If there will be fireworks at ten after my watch" He tapped the round shape on his wrist. "then you'll kiss me."
"What?! No!" I jumped back a little and stiffened.
My mouth opened to protest, but then the fireworks started and I looked at my wristwatch: ten pm sharp.
"Ha! I won, so I don't have to kiss you." I looked back at him grinning as a wave of relief relaxed my entire body and mind.
"Then I get to kiss you." A wicked half smile appeared on his face illuminated by the moon.
"I didn't agrre... " My words died as his lips shut me up.
I stood frozen, wide eyed, until moments later, my lips moved in sync with his and my eyes closed. The same warm feelings enveloped me, like the ones we shared at the mountain resort two years ago.
Sneak Peak Part III:
"How is he?" I asked the nurse and wiped my sweaty hands on the side of the jeans.
"I gave him more medicine. The temperature hasn't dropped yet." She answered while fixing the speed of the liquid through the tubes.
Then, the nurse looked at me and added in a reassuring voice: "Have faith. He will be alright. He's still young and has the power to fight this."
The only thing I could do was nod and stare into nothingness. I didn't even realize that she left the room until moments later, when I came back from the dazzle.
The night is silent except for the beeping noise made by the machine attached to his body. Kevin was lying there for three days already, so still and so drained of color, like a wax statue. The faint raises of his chest and the green line on the monitor prove he is still alive.
"I'm so sorry Kevin... so sorry. I promise you that when you wake up, I'll do whatever you ask me to." I whispered before burying the head in my hands. It feels as heavy as a rock from all the worries it carries.

Lastly, I want to give my thanks to @EdgarMalboeuf for hammering writing rules and tips into my skull. (His words, not mine.) If I wouldn't have come across him, the whole story would have been a non-intelligible boring chaos.
That's it! I do hope you enjoyed Pheobe's journey through life up to this point, and that I'd managed to make you picture what she thought and felt during this time.
See you later!
