a shield is what i have been for the past 600 years. one of the best i must say. i plan to keep it that way.
my person is one of the most clumsiest people alive. he also has the worst luck.
that makes my job a lot harder yet more enjoyable. you can't say that you are bored when you are in this profession.
with only three simple rules to follow, the shields have it pretty easy.
1- do not be seen
2- don't let your person die until the day that they are meant to naturally die
3- don't fall in love with your person
being in the business for so long, i have fallen in love and learnt the hard way that there is no space for love in this field of work.
i am the longest serving shield to date.
we are only given two months to live at a time. the director only gives us another two months if we have done our job well enough to deserve it.
i have seen many shields die the painful death because they have failed.
i do not plan to become one of them anytime soon.
lee jaehwan is the one whom i must continue to protect to keep it that way.
