07. I Had Fun Today

I got up early to make breakfast. I made waffles,bacon and eggs so I patiently waited for my brother and his friends to arrive. I was very proud of my work and sat at the kitchen counter with a proud grin on my face.

I heard someone fumbling with the doorknob and jumped off my chair excitedly. Dylan came busting through with his friends and I ran towards them.

"DYLAN I MISSED YOU! HOW THE HELL DO YOU TURN ON THE AC?!" I yelled, hugging him. He laughed and returned my embrace.

We pulled apart and let his friends through. They were all shocked at the breakfast I had made.

"Dude your sister is the best!" Tyler said, pulling me into a hug, which became a group hug with all of his friends. We pulled apart and they all grabbed a plate. They began to eat and all said small 'thank yous' with their mouths full of food. Someone knocked on the door and I answered. When I opened it I saw all my friends-except for Beverly.

"Hey Jocelyn! Do you wanna hang out today?" Eddie asked while the rest of the losers looked at him almost mockingly.

"Sure! Where's Bev?" I asked.

"Sh-she wasn't feeling g-good today" Bill explained and I let out a small 'ah' in response.

"Okay, well let me just put on my shoes" I said closing the door and looked over to my brother and his friends. They were all staring at me, except for Abraham. He was still looking out the window but when he saw me he sat down. Their gaze followed me as I slipped on my shoes.

"What kid do you have a crush on?" Monica asked as I sighed.

"Is it the one with the curly hair?" Julissa asked expectantly.

"No! I bet you it's the short one with the fanny pack" Hilarry said.

"His name is Eddie. And yes, he's the short one" I said beginning to walk out as the girls gushed and my brother rolled his eyes.

"Have fun!" Monica yelled as I shut the door.

We began to ride away and I sent a small smile to Eddie, making him wheeze. We decided to go to Richie's house and watch scary movies in his basement.

We sat on the couch arguing about movies to watch. Richie's eyes widened as he saw 'The Exorcist'.

"Have you seen this movie?" Richie asked and we all shook our heads no nervously. He gulped "Do you wanna watch it?" He asked and Bill, Stan and I nodded as Eddie, Ben and Mike shook their heads no vigorously. 

"C'mon we might as well get it over with now!" I encouraged.

"It's 3-3! C'mon Eddie say yes!" Richie yelled as he looked over to me. Bill and Stan did the same and they motioned their heads towards Eddie, signalling that they wanted me to convince him.

"Please Eddie!"

"But I don't wanna watch it!" Eddie yelled.

"I'll cuddle with you" I said, putting my head on his shoulder.

"We're watching this damn movie!" Eddie gave in.

"That's not fair! Don't use his feelings for you as an advantage!" Mike yelled.

"Already did" I winked.

"You're evil" Ben said as Richie put the movie on. I high-fived Bill, Stan and Richie as we all sat down. We each had individual blankets except for me and Eddie. We were sharing. His arm was around me and my head was on his shoulder. I could hear his heartbeat beating rapidly and I began to hold his hand to calm him down.

The movie has disturbed me in ways I can't explain. Im going to go over the highlights of watching this movie.

Richie saying "If I had a kid and they got possessed like this I would be like 'peace out girl scout' ".

Bill yelling "W-WHAT THE F-FUCK!" When she vomited everywhere.

Stan saying "Well that's a neat trick" When she turned her head all the way around.

Mike actually screeching throughout the movie.

Ben saying "I need to go pray" As the credits began to roll.

And Eddie hiding his face in my neck whenever he got scared. The credits were rolling and we all just stared at each other.

"That poor priest! He was just trying to bring Jesus into people's lives and he has to deal with this shit!" I yelled, making my friends laugh.

"Now we're gonna watch 'The Shining'!" Richie yelled and Ben groaned.

I looked up at Eddie.

"You okay?" I softly asked.

"Y-yeah" He blushed,making me smile.

The movie started and we were all making commentary.

"That's a nice ass hotel" Mike said.

"I wish I could just be riding around on a tricycle with no problems" I said as my friends nodded in agreement.

"NEVER MIND!" I yelled as the creepy ass twins appeared.

"Are you okay Johnny?"

"ARE THOSE BOOBS" Richie yelled.

"EW I D-DONT WANNA SEE A N-NAKED OLD L-LADY!" Bill yelled.

"JOHNNY IS NOT OKAY! JOHNNY IS NOT OKAY!" Eddie yelled as Johnny began to break down the door.

"THAT IS YOUR WIFE! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE AND CHERISH HER!" Ben yelled.

"Boy run away, your daddy is try'na kill you" Mike sighed.

"Run little Timmy! Or whatever the hell your name is!" I yelled.

The credits began to roll and we once again just stared at each other.

"We should do this again. But I should head home. It's getting kind of late" I said.

"I'll go with you" Eddie said, following me outside.

"Thanks Eddie. I had fun today" I said.

"Me too. You looked really pretty today-I mean you always look really pretty! But you just-" Eddie stumbled over his words.

"Thank you Eddie. I'll see you tomorrow" I said, kissing his cheek.

"Okay, good night Jocelyn" He blushed.
