3 Years Later

I knocked on the door of the Kaspbrak household, fresh tears rolling down my face. I sniffled slightly, trying to take deep breaths to calm down. Mrs. Kaspbrak answered the door and furrowed her eyebrows at the sight of me.

"Are you okay?" She asked and I just nodded.

"Yeah it's just...can I talk to Eddie?" I sniffled and she nodded.

"Yeah just hold on" She said, closing the door softly. I could hear the sound of shuffling through the door and Eddie soon walked out. He had a smile on his face but it instantly dropped when he saw my expression.

"Joc? What's wrong?" He worriedly asked, bringing my face into his hands. I looked into his eyes for a moment before breaking out into tears.

"Im m-moving" I explained in between sobs.

"What? No. Y-you can't" He shook his head as I noticed the tears welling in his eyes.

"Im so so sorry love" And with that he pulled me into a hug.

"Where are you moving?"

"Colorado"

"Why?" He whispered.

"B-because Dylan got a job offer and we really need the money" I explained in a shaky voice.

"When do you leave?"

"The beginning of next month" I said and he nodded.

"We'll be okay. I promise" He said, kissing the top of my head as I cried softly into his shoulder.

"Im sorry Jocelyn. It's just...you know we need the money" Dylan trailed off.

"I know Dylan. It's fine. I mean, it sucks but like you said, we need the money" I sent him a weak smile.

"I just want you to be happy" He sighed, pulling me into a hug.

"I know" I nodded before falling silent. "I have to finish packing" I said before walking away.

I sniffled, putting the last box in the truck and turned around towards my friends.

"Dylan said we have like two hours" I spoke and they nodded solemnly. I said goodbye to them one-by-one until it was just Richie, Bev and Eddie left. Richie walked up to me quietly.

"I jut wanted to say that you're pretty cool and...thanks for punching my ex-girlfriend after she was talking shit" He spoke in a flat voice, looking down as he kicked rocks. I was about to speak when I heard a sniffle.

"Are you crying?"

"NO!" He yelled, looking up with tears in his eyes. I raised an eyebrow at him and he sighed. "Fine! Yes, I'm crying" He admitted, making me laugh. I pulled him into a hug.

"As annoying as you are I'm gonna miss you trashmouth" I smiled and he rolled his eyes.

"Shut up"

I turned to Beverly next and saw that she was already crying.

"Bev, I-" I paused, trying to contain myself before breaking out into tears. She hugged me tightly as we both cried. "Im going to miss you so much!" I sobbed.

"Im gonna miss you too" She said in a high voice.

"You'remybestfriend!" I said in an unintelligible voice.

"You'remybestfriend!" She yelled back in the same voice but I understood her completely. We pulled apart, wiping our eyes and taking deep breaths before I turned towards Eddie.

"Eds I-I love you" I sniffled as he walked closer to me.

"I love you too" He said in a quiet voice, wrapping his arms around me.

"I-I don't wanna leave you" I sobbed into his shoulder as he played with my hair.

"I know. But maybe it doesn't have to be goodbye" He said, wiping his tears away.

"What do you mean?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"Let's just not say bye. I'll see you tomorrow" He nodded and I smiled, catching on.

"Yeah. I love you" I said, kissing his lips sweetly. "And I'll see you tomorrow"

"I miss you" I sighed into the phone.

"I miss you too Joc" He spoke back.

"I love you so so much" I whispered, beginning to cry.

"What's wrong gorgeous?" He concernedly asked.

"I...can't do this" I sighed, tears rolling freely down my face.

"I know what you mean...but I-I don't wanna break up" He admitted, sniffling loudly.

"I don't either but I can't do this" I shook my head. "Im never going to forget you. Ever" I promised.

"I'll never forget you...no matter how hard I try. I love you"

"I love you too" I cried.

"Please don't cry. I'll see you tomorrow" He weakly spoke.

"Yeah" I laughed, wiping my nose. "I'll see you tomorrow"

And that was the last time I ever talked to Eddie Kaspbrak until a certain clown named Pennywise returned to Derry.
