I'd never actually been down into the dungeon, it was the one place that Jaxon did not let me go to. It was for my safety he always said, and now here I go with him and I still felt worried. While I was excited to be included for once I was nervous, this guy had tried to kill Mel and I. And on top of that he was Alexis' mate. As we walked it was noticeably cooler, I felt Jaxon stiffen as soon as we got to the cells, "As soon as you want to leave tell me okay?" He spoke, and I nodded. I noticed that there were guards I had never met standing literally every 5 feet, and one guard each at the cells. "And the princess finally arrives." I heard Alexis say, I couldn't help but to roll my eyes. "I think Queen is the human title." Cody said from in front of us. "Anything?" Jaxon asked him, ignoring her. "Not a word." He replied. As we stood in front of his cell he stood, then knelt in front of me. "Get up." Jaxon said to him. "What's your name?" I asked, not sure if he would reply. "Lexington. You're the Luna." I was sure I had shock written all over my face. "What are you doing here?" Jaxon said. Yet again he didn't say a word, I looked at him silently begging him to answer still nothing. "Why are you here?" I asked. "For my mate." "Alexis said you didn't want her." I said confused. "I don't." She sang from the cell next to him. It was his turn to roll his eyes, "I'm no longer with Haley." "The girlfriend?" I assumed, he nodded. "I don't care. I don't want you, I want Jaxon." He growled, I'm sure his wolf didn't like her speaking that way. Jaxon came closer to me and a gaurd come to stand on my other side. "No one touches her." Jaxon spoke clearly. Lexington shook his head, "I'm not here for the Luna just my mate." He said finally replying to Jax. "Then why did you attack us?" He laughed, "Your Luna has claws. Her wolf does not play." I was incredibly confused, I had no clue what he was on about. "You smelt like Alexis, I knew you were from this pack. The other wolf is not from here, I thought she was going to attack you." I couldn't make myself understand why he would think that, but then I realized. Mel was behind me facing the other way, I told her I heard something she was probably crouched ready to attack. "Jax I believe him." I said quietly tugging on his shirt. He looked down at me, "What?" He said as if he couldn't hear me. I explained it through our link. "You stay here until we figure this out, Alexis will be moved into the cell across from you." Jaxon said telling the guard to move her. "What the hell do you think your doing here?" She hissed at him as they were moving her. "Nice to see you too." He said arms across his chest. "I told you I don't want to be with you why don't you understand that?" She growled, touching the bars. She yelped jumping back, "Forgot to tell you those bars are laced in silver." Cody said nonchalantly shrugging. "Now this is how things are going to happen. Until I am satisfied that no harm will come to Abigail neither of you are leaving these cells." Jaxon spoke with a few guards and we were headed back upstairs. "So now what?" I questioned him. He just grinned, "Now we get to do some digging."

It had been several days since the attack and while Melanie's injuries were all healed she was in a very depressed state and I didn't want her to go home until I thought she was okay. I knocked on the bedroom door to where she was sleeping before I walked inside. "Hey you hungry?" I asked, pushing open the door with my elbow, carrying a tray of food with the other. I felt very much like a mother wolf taking care of her pup, if I didn't bring food to her she wouldn't eat. But as I got inside I saw Luka sitting there with her. We still were not on good terms, I was very upset with him and Jaxon still didn't want me alone with him after the way he had talked to me. Yet I had to bite my tongue because I knew Melanie was trying so hard to make him want her and I felt so bad that she had to fight for her mate to want her. "Luna." He said standing from the bed and lowering his gaze to the floor, that was another thing. Jaxon was making him regain, so to speak, his respect from me. He now acted as if he was no longer a beta position, while he still held the title he didn't have the respect from nearly half the pack. Their beta was someone they looked up to, and the way he had treated not only me but his mate was not sitting well with the pack. I nodded in his direction. "Hey just brought you some lunch, and was gonna go over the menu stuff for the BBQ tomorrow but I'll just leave you this and come back later okay?" I asked sitting the tray down on her bed. She smiled at me, the first smile I'd gotten in days. "Thank you Abs." I smiled back, hugging her sightly and told her to be careful. While he was her mate I didn't want her to get her hopes up and Luka to come around and break her heart all over again. This was the first time Jaxon had allowed him to see her and I wished he had asked me, but I knew what it was like to not see your mate for days so I had to keep my mouth shut. I so badly wanted to stay by her door and eavesdrop but I let them have their space. Like Jaxon had said this wasn't my relationship and I had to let them figure things out on their own, no matter how much it hurt.
