"We were the perfect match, but sadly matches burn."
Rose pov,
"Please stop walking like that."
"Do you think I like walking like this, and making a complete fool out of me?"
"Yes." I rolled my eyes as Jay waddled his way through the hallway, gaining amused looks. I tried to ignore the eyes on us as Jay winced from beside me.
"I really think I'm gonna have to go to the infirmary." He shifted uncomfortably.
"I didn't knee you that hard." I said not letting my internal worry seep into my voice.
"You literally gave me blue balls!" He snapped.
"Well...man up."
"Sometimes, I really wish you were a guy." He muttered loud enough for me to hear. I halted, turning around to raise an eyebrow. He let out and aggravated sigh when he realized how wrongly I had perceived his comment.
"Not like that! I mean if you were a boy I could punch you in the face."
"You could still do that." I shrugged.
"You're a girl."
"Sexist."
"I'm not sexist, my mother just raised me well enough to know how to treat a woman."
"Are you pretending to be a gentleman, right now? Seriously?" I rolled my eyes before striding away from him.
"What do you mean 'pretending?' I'll have you know, I am a humble gentleman." He quickly catches up to me, his problem apparently solved.
"Uh huh. Whatever helps you sleep at night."
Before I knew it an arm wrapped around my waist, pulling my back causing me to crash into his hard chest. My back lined up against his front. His minty breath fanned over my neck, making me more alert of our current position.
"What would you do if I say, you help me sleep at night?" He murmured, his lips brushing against my ear, lightly grazing my jaw. My heart nervously beating fast as I tried to keep my voice sound calm and unaffected.
"I would-d kick you in the—", He hummed, leaving soft kisses behind my ear, making my brain clouded. I couldn't think straight with him bring so near to me.
"You'll what?" He asked teasingly and suddenly nipped at my ear lope. Letting out a tiny squeak I pulled away from him to give him a pointed glare. However once my eyes caught the sight of him laughing , my glare softened.
"What are you staring at?" He asked adorably, wiggling his eyebrows as he sobered up, a shit eating grin still plastered on his face.
Note to self: Don't make jay smile, the effect can be dangerous to heart.
"What?" I blurted out, stupefied.
"Nothing. You're getting late for class." He let out an amused chuckle, shaking his head before he grabbed my hand and curled his fingers around it as he dragged me through the hall way.

I leaned against one of the lockers closing the zip of my bag. I looked up and saw everyone standing near the hallway door.
"Hey guys."
"Rose!" Dove shouted, the first one to notice my presence, "You know there's like this new branch of 'Cake N' Batter' opened down the road. And since it's like first day of opening, there offering 2 donuts in the price of one. We could get 50 cents donut!" She exclaimed, fanning a bright coloured pamphlet infront of my face.
