Rose's pov
What Dove said really made me think.Am I not the real me.Is this just a protective cover placed upon my shattered heart.
I was changing into my pajamas,lost in thought.When mum came in.
"Mum,do you need something?"I asked her confused.
"No I just wanted to hug my daughter is that a crime."she walked over to me and embraced me in a hug.I hugged her back.
"Rose I love you,I know you don't believe I'm getting better and you want me to stay in bed and rest but Rose I'm getting better but you're not getting better,and your smile is fading away."she holded up my chin so she could see my face.I sended her a small fake smile.
"Rose see your smile isn't even real now"as if she saw right through me.Ofcourse she did she is my mother after all.
"I love your smile and I hate to see you like this.You don't bring anyone of your friends home anymore other than Dove and don't even go to other's houses.Do you remember when you were younger you used to beg me to let you have sleep overs."she chuckled at the memory."But now it's like you're not the same person anymore sweetheart."she frowned.
"Mum I've grown-"
"No Rose you just think you've grown up.Rose you try to be mature for me but Rose you need to be young and stupid now to grow up to be wise.I miss my daughter,not this person,my real Rose."she kissed my head before I could say something and said good night to me.
I laid in my bed for what seems like hours,first Dove and now Mum.This is the real me and if not then I don't know who am I.Who am I?
I was engrossed in my thoughts when my phone chimed.I picked it up to check the time-01:07 am,who could be messaging me at this ungodly time of night.
Unknown:Hi
Me:who are you
Unknown:your worst nightmare(evil laugh)
Me:No seriously who are you?
Unknown:you guess
Me:well the only person who would be crazy enough to text me at this time of the night will be...
Unknown:Will be...?
Me:Jay I know it's you
Unknown:Dammit!

Me:what do you want Jay.

Me:Tough luck I'm not for sale although I'm sure Maria is.
Jay:eww why would I like her?
Me:Because she would open her legs for you,isn't that all you guys want?
Jay:you really think that low of me?
Me:no that's how I think about all men.
Jay:what why!?
Me:you wouldn't understand it.

Me:Jay I'm doing to sleep now.
Jay: no please don't go I have to talk to you.
Me: fine then what do you want to talk about.
Jay:tell me about yourself.
Me:Jay we're not dating so you don't need to know me and I don't need to tell you about myself.
Jay: and what if I want to date you
Me:sorry Jay there are many man lining up for me,I don't have time to deal with boys.
Jay: you think I'm a boy!I'm a fully grown man.
Me: uh huh keep telling yourself that.anyways it's getting late good night Jay.
Jay:Good night Rose,dream about me.
Me: you wish!
Jay:I do.
Me: Good night.
Jay: Good night.
I smiled.I genuinely smiled!How did Jay made me smile when no one else could?Who are you Jay Stone?What are you doing to me?
I just know that there is something that makes you different from the others like I've seen you some where.Its like whenever I'm near you all my emotions spiral out of control.I feel like I'm not some emotionless robot anymore.I feel real again like I'm revived again and it is that fact that scares me you're starting to become a part of life and are starting to effect me,that's why I have to stay away from you.To protect myself,but you make it so hard for me because of your stubbornness,charming personality,dorky self and flirting skills.
I repeat what are you doing to me Jay, Jay Stone?
