"(f/n), do you think you could help Yoongi out?" Namjoon asks, approaching you.
"Help him out on what?" You ask, confused.
"Maybe convince him to start writing something and brainstorm together?" Namjoon politely offers.
"Why me? You know how much we hate each other's guts." You reply.
"I would personally do it, but Chaeyeon and I have to meet with the adviser. Hoseok hyung and Jin hyung went out to buy food for the rest of us, so I was thinking you would be the effective one from the rest." Namjoon explains, rubbing the back of his neck.
"How in the world am I gonna convince him anyways?" You ask.
"Well, I was just thinking that maybe reverse psychology could work on him, you know?" He smiles.
"Fine." You mutter.
"I owe you one." He says, patting your shoulder before leaving.
"Oh, you owe me a lot, Namjoon." You mutter.
You let out a sigh before proceeding to the back of the room, where Yoongi was seated with his earphones on. Upon reaching him, you pulled on one earbud, causing him to stir and glare at you.
"What do you want? Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?" He spat, taking the earbud back from you harshly.
"You're supposed to start writing the script by now." You reply calmly.
"Who are you, my manager? Since when did you care about my schedule?" He scoffs, plugging his earbud back in.
You rolled your eyes as you watched him turn the volume even louder. You had enough of his antics, so you snatched his phone and threw his earphones in his direction, in which he immediately catches.
"Give me back my phone, dimwit!"
"Sorry, Yoongi. Useful and useless don't go together." You smirk.
"You're the useless one here, dimwit."
"Oh, yeah? Says who?"
Yoongi only scowled in response. You watched in amusement as he tossed his bag onto the desk, contents almost spilling, but he pulls out a pen and a piece of paper. You could hear him muttering inaudible curses as his hand casually started to write, pen gliding across the paper.
"That's what I thought." You smirked, grabbing a chair to sit in front of him.
"What are you still doing here? Your ugly face is demotivating me more."
"Jeez, what's gotten you extra grumpy today, old man?" You frown.
"It's how stupid people can be." He mumbles.
You sighed, observing how frustrated he was while writing down words. You glanced at the paper sneakily, and your eyes widen at the script. Without thinking, you grabbed his wrist and he winces at your touch.
"Yoongi, we're doing a romantic drama, not a violent action movie." You breathe out.
"I'm forced to write words, aren't I?" He hisses.
"Good grief, Yoongi." You shake your head.
He swiftly pulled his hand back, startling you at the amount of force he put in. Just like that, he casually went back to writing barbaric and brutal sentences, his eyes narrowed and his forehead crinkled.
"Yoongi."
"What?!"
"If it helps, I'll stay quiet then. Just please, do the script."
His cold eyes continued to stare at you, but he eventually turned his attention back to the paper on his desk. He lets out a sigh before ripping the paper in half, crumpling it, and flinging it to the front of the room.
You stayed quiet, observing him as he slowly started to write once more and his hand smoothly sliding as the words continued to flow. A look of concentration plastered his face, and you honestly found it quite entertaining.
"Hey, dimwit. Tell me if this is good enough." He says, a bit irked but not as much.
You take the paper from him, where rows of words neatly aligned. You scanned the script, and reading it seemed surreal to you. You honestly didn't expect Yoongi to be such a moving writer, especially not with that attitude of his.
"Yoongi, I don't know what to say." You admit.
"You don't have to say anything." He replies, taking the script back.
You couldn't help but smile, but you tried your best to hide it from him. He seemed to ignore your presence, going back to adding lines to the script. You shrugged it off, carefully standing as not to startle him. You then brought his phone back to his desk, and he stops to look at it.
"Well, here's your phone, I guess. Keep on writing." You utter, turning to walk away.
He barely said anything in return, focusing back on the script. Just in time, Namjoon and Chaeyeon had returned, along with Jin and Hoseok who were carrying a large amount of food in their hands. Upon seeing them, your eyes quickly sparked and you ran to take the bag from the boys, letting out a muffled 'thanks'.
The four stood by the door, amazed by your speed as you were sprinting around the room to give each one a bag of food. When all was distributed, it came to the last bag, and you looked around to see Yoongi was the only person without one.
"Here." You mutter, placing it on his desk.
He only looks up for a brief moment, mouthing words that were almost impossible to apprehend. You were about to ask him, but he then shoves the script in your face. You grasped it, reading the additional dialogues.
Your eyes widen at his work, spotting Namjoon and walking towards his direction. He smiled at you, and you placed the paper in his hands. You watched as he smirked all throughout, giving short nods as he proceeded to read until the end.
"What about it, (f/n)?" He asks, handing it back.
"I don't think I'd ever admit it in front of him, but he's a genius!" You whisper-yelled.
"Well, that's Yoongi for you." He chuckles.
"Who knew?" You shrugged, glancing at his handwriting.
"Give him a compliment, would you?" Namjoon asks, taking a seat.
You puffed your cheeks slightly, but considered his favor. You trudged to the direction of the scriptwriter, who had just started to munch on his food. You gently placed it in down as he still disregarded your presence. You then cleared your throat, and he pauses to look at you with confusion.
"K-Knife... n-nuff... n-nice-"
"What language is that?" Yoongi asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Y-Yoongi, you should write more often. It makes you look smarter and more decent."
"Are you here to ridicule me?"
"No, I'm complimenting you."
"Sounds sardonic to me."
"Just please accept it."
"No."
"I'm being serious here."
"So am I."
"Yoongi, you're a genius."
You were surprised when his lips formed into a smirk.
"Now that's what I like to hear."
You rolled your eyes at his winning expression. You didn't bother replying back, seeing as he shoved his face into the food once more. You slowly walked away, but the distance was enough for you to hear him whisper two words.
"Thank you."
