Nick ran his hands though his wet hair and pulled on a t-shirt.

Flopping down on the bed, he grabbed his phone.

She hadn't replied to his message. Neither had she called back.

Stubbornly, he called again. Her phone was switched off.

He sighed and tossed his phone on the bed.

As much as he hated to admit it, he missed her.

It had been months since he had actually met her, but he was so used to seeing her and talking to her on Skype that she invariably felt intertwined in his life. No matter in which corner of the world he was.

He walked over to the window restlessly, looking out at the quaint French countryside.

She sounded disturbed the last time he spoke to her.

She wanted to end this.

He asked her to wait. Said he wanted to make it work. That he would make it work.

She hadn't said anything, but looked at him wearily from more than thousand miles away. Resigned.

He wondered if she had another man in her life.

She deserved it, really. A man better than him.

He felt conflicted. He knew he should let her go. He didn't love his wife for sure; he wouldn't mind leaving her.

But there was his son.

He smiled slightly at the thought of the kid.

So intelligent, so intense, so sensitive. So unlike his father.

He didn't want the kid to get hurt.

Did she love him? He knew for sure that at one point she did. But after all these years of Skype calls and too little time actually together, Nick wasn't sure.

Did he love her? He wasn't sure of that either.

But he missed her. He desperately felt the need to see her.

He grabbed his phone again. Nope. No response.

It had been four days.

He paced around the unfamiliar room restlessly.

It was a long flight and he was tired.

Yet, he had this urgent need to see her.

He wasn't sure if he loved her, but now he was starting to worry about her.

He had to distract himself.

He opened 'Amy'.

The skimpily dressed buxom blonde flickered to life in front of him.

"Hey, sexy." He grinned.

Amy smirked. "Not answering your call, is she?"

Nick's grin faded.

Amy grinned seductively. "Forget her. I'm here."

Nick smiled tightly.

"Though your wife tried calling you earlier, you know." Amy said, innocently. "You might want to call her back."

"Are you going to teach me morals now?" Nick snapped.

Amy smiled. "Not at all. But she might be worried about you." Her smile twisted. "Or rather who you are spending time with in France."

Nick grinned sarcastically. "I'm spending time with you, baby. That can hardly be called cheating."

Amy smiled knowingly. "What about the girlfriend who isn't answering your call."

Nick picked up a cigarette and lit it. "There hasn't been physical contact in years." He muttered.

"So that's not cheating then either I suppose." Amy said, smoothly.

Nick looked at her in annoyance.

"What are you? The voice of my conscience now?"

Amy chuckled. "I am what you want me to be, Nick." She said, seductively.

Nick leaned back in bed and took a leisurely drag of his cigarette.

"Then be a good girl and tell me what would you do to me in bed. Shut up about the rest."

Amy grinned.
